Meh chapter

William

The next few days went very well. Even though I didn't have any classes or the same lunch with Nicholas, we still found ways to see each other between classes. We even arranged time for after school to see each other for a brief few minutes before leaving.

He was such an amazing person and made me so happy already.

I adore how interesting he is. I prefer weird good morning text instead of the lovey dovey ones. I prefer staying on the phone all night with him while he makes fun of me then texting him.

I just enjoy being with him so much.

My eating and mental health have been... I guess the same. Not much different than before Nicholas and I began dating. He's always reminding me to eat, but I just lie and say that I do.

I'm just glad that my weight is going down.

My friends found out about Nicholas and I because Amber caught us sneaking a kiss in between classes. So, of course she had to tell everyone.

"Will."

My head snaps up from my phone, my gaze meeting Macy's. "Uh, yes?"

"Would you stop texting your boyfriend and listen!" She exclaims while leaning on Shane's shoulder.

I scowl, "I'm texting my mom, asshole. And you have your boyfriend here, so I don't want to hear it."

Amber glances down at my phone, "you call your mom Nick?" I roll my eyes, turning my phone off.

"As I was saying," Macy began, swallowing the food in her mouth. "Since spring break is coming up, we should all do something! Like go camping or plan a vacation!"

I scowl at the idea. All I wanted to do over spring break was sleep the entire week away. It was a week where I could avoid people, not go somewhere with more.

My mind spun for a moment before I replied, "I wish I could," I started, clearing my throat, preparing for the lie. "But my grandparents are coming down for the week. I haven't seen them in a while. You guys can, just send me pictures."

Macy grimaced at my excuse, "seriously, Will? You can see your grandparents whenever."

I rarely see my dad's parents, usually it was my mom's. It has been a while since I've seen them though, and it disappointed me that I made up a lie involving them.

"Not necessarily." I mutter, mindlessly pushing around the speghetti on my plate. I hate letting people down, but I just don't want to spend a week with them. "Maybe this summer we can."

Macy just rolls her eyes overdramaticly at my suggestion, "whatever." She just looks over at Shane, beginning to start a conversation with him.

I look back down at my phone, seeing Nick's replies to my text.

Even though he was in class, he apparently had a substitute, so he just sat in the back, texting me.

Nick- And premartial eye contact is not allowed. Sorry :/

Me- Too late.

Nick- YOU CANT DO THAT!

I giggle softly, scrolling up in our text. We we're currently talking about premartial touching and gestures since he was reading a book about it. It made me wonder what book he was reading, but I enjoyed our odd conversation.

Ignoring everyone for the rest of lunch, I just texted Nicholas, feeling a bit sad that I couldn't see him. I miss him, I miss him terribly.

Although I just saw him before second period, I just missed having him with me.
