Monique's POV

After the incident with the witches, Haechan and I headed back in the gingerbread house. We walked and chatted for an hour and a half and when it was lunch time, we went home. Of course, Haechan cooked us lunch.

I took a siesta in the afternoon since I was pretty tired from our walk earlier and full from the food that Haechan made. It was absolutely delicious, as always.

For the next two days, Haechan and I were alone in the house, just with each other's company. Mostly we sleep in the day and when Hansel and Gretel gets home to get some rest, we wake up in the middle of the night and play for a while.

He woke up once and did the same to me to make him sleep. I glared at him and started to choke him. "You woke me up just to sing you 'The Lullaby'? Haechan!" He begged for me to stop but that was the consequence of his action.

I sang him to sleep anyway and I also slept right after I finished singing the song. When I woke up, I saw myself on Haechan's bed and he was sleeping on mine. I just face-palmed and let it off the hook.

I am currently outside, on top of the roof, gazing at the sky. I missed the indigo-colored night sky of Wonderland. We should visit sooner or later. Haechan was inside the house helping Gretel out with the cooking.

There are still no similar blood samples like mine. The siblings already went from far and wide in search of a family but it felt like it was hopeless. There are six more kingdoms left to be searched and if my parents were none of them, then I would assume they are dead.

I rubbed my hands on my arms when the wind brushed on my face. I looked around if there are any signs of those witches but there was none, so I stared back into the horizon, keeping silent and still.

I heard footsteps in my right. I turned my head and saw Haechan carefully walking up, his feet bare. His dirty green polo shirt's sleeves were rolled up and he has a satisfied smile on his face. He sat beside me, his brown hair being blown by the wind.

"Did you like what you made for dinner?" I asked him out of the blue. "Yes, because I made it." He emphasized the 'I' and looked proud. I chuckled. "Hm, I am not going to eat it then." He pouted and nudged my elbow. "Hey~."

I pinched his cheek. "I'm just kidding. I could not miss out on such a good dish, right?" He grinned cutely and nodded. He suddenly blushed and looked away. "Uh, do you remember when.. like here, when.. you know, we almost," He made hand gestures that I can't make out.

I thought thoroughly and I finally remembered. "Are you talking about the supposed-to-be-kiss?" He completely turned his back on me after I said that. I laughed at how shy he is and pulled his arm. "Hey."

"My God, don't." I'm wheezing now and I covered half of my face because of laughing. I pulled him with force and he fell on top of me. I leaned in and pecked his cheek before letting go of him. He put a hand on the cheek I kissed and he glared at me, his face red.

"You did not have my permission." He pouted. I shrugged and stood up. "You will still ask for it, and I am stating facts." I hummed while going back inside, pleased with my reply to him.

I heard him whine behind me. "Hey, wait for me~." I rolled my eyes and slipped inside our bed room from the window. I immediately closed it just before he could enter. Haechan glared at me and slammed his hands on the glass. "Let me in!"

I stuck out my tongue at him and rushed to the dining room. When I arrived, Hansel and Gretel were just starting to eat. The male raised a brow at me. "Where is Haechan?" He asked. I shrugged but then the front door opened harshly.
