Socail media is a very powerful thing nowadays. It can be used as an influencer platform, work related, and sometime just hate. There are dark sides of the internet, some are obsessed with it while others didn't even knew it happens. It's different for every person, they all have their own coping devices.

Currently all the ninjas were sitting in their dressing rooms, just now finishing a photoshoot for a campaign. The mayor had signed them all for a 'Take back Ninjago'  campaign photoshoot after some popular demand. Although there is no one to fight over Ninjago with, most like to think that is meant for Garmadon being let of prison.

The ninja had gotten all of their photos from the photographer and were starting to post them on their social medias. The staff had set up the dressing rooms by genders, the team didn't mind, but it made sense.

Kai was already getting some comments from the post, "Wow, everyone thinks we look HOT!" he exclaimed.

Jay shook his head at him and continued playing his game, candy crush, on his phone. He doesn't really pay attention to the comments whether they're about him or others. Along with he hates reading so that's another reason.

Each of the ninja posted three pictures, one of the whole group, a portrait of themselves, and/or a pic with your friend. Jay and Nya of course chose each other for their pictures and they had a blast filming that. Unlike the others, they goofed off the most in the photoshoot, there isn't one photo of them together without them smiling.

Suddenly Lloyd pointed something out, "Uh guys, check out Nya's profile."

They all went onto Instagram and got onto Nya's profile. She had also posted some of the photos of the shoot. Jay looked at them and he didn't see anything wrong with them. She looks happy in all of them, so what was the problem?

"Oh my god." Cole gasped.

The Master of Lightning looked at them all confused, "What's the problem, I don't see anything wrong with the pictures-"

"Look at the comments, Jay." Kai sternly told him , giving off a 'I'm going to kill you' stare.

The freckled boy clicked at the comments and- wow. Every single comment was something negative. None of them were a simple 'You're so cute' comment. Jay read through every single one of them.

'You're a _, go home.'

'Someone looks pregnant.'

'Stop photoshopping for likes.'

'You're ugly.'

'Who would ever want to be with you after what you did to Jay and Cole, player.'

'You don't deserve to have Jay as a Yin, you abusive _.'

'Girl ninja. More like wanna be girl ninja.'

'No one likes you, go kill yourself.'

Once Jay read that final comment, he was immediately triggered. He pushed himself off the couch and started running towards Nya's dressing room. He just prayed to god she hasn't done anything to herself like that comment said. The blue ninja could hear the yelling from his friends across the hall.

He pushed through crowds of crew and staff that were trying to block him from Nya's room and made his way through her door. Once he closed the door he heard some squealing, he turned around the see Nya only in a silk robe and some hard core blushing maids.

The freckled boy quickly turned around with deep embarrassment imprinted on his face, "U-Uh sorry, I-I uh continue what you're doing I'm not looking I-I promise." He managed to stutter out of his mouth.

The maids continued to giggle before Nya interrupted their laughing fit, "Um you three can leave. I'm covered anyway." she told the maids.

Jay scooted away from the door, still facing the wall while the maids left. Nya walked over to Jay, who was blushing like mad and didn't even dare to look at her. Sneakily, the Master of Water wrapped her arms around his neck from behind, "You can turn around now, Jay." she whispered in his ear.

"b-But you're naked-"

"I'm wearing a leotard and booty short underneath this Jay, the maids were picking out another outfit for me to wear in the next shoot. I was cold." She admitted to him,now resting her chin on his shoulder.

Jay slowly turned around, still blushing madly, hugging Nya by the waist. He took in her scent, cherry blossoms and warm vanilla sugar, not just her hair but her whole aroma. He almost forgot why he had came in her dressing room in he first place.

"So what are you doing in the dressing room, Mr. Sparky?"

The Master of Lightning pulled away from her and pulled out his phone. He showed her the screen of the comment sections, she looked unphased. Nya shrugged, "It's normal."

The Yin's eyes widened, "Normal?!? This has happened before?!?" He exclaimed.

She gives him a small nod, keeping her gaze on his eyes. She could see how much it hurt him. The ocean eyed girl understood all the hate, she just didn't care about what they said. She never felt that anyone liked her until she met Jay, so she believed that the only person that she would get opinions by would be him.

"B-But they're all so mean, and rude, I can't even comprehend. Oh I'll show them something for sure!" Jay snapped and started to go onto his twitter account to type something in before his Yang stopped him.

She took his phone from his hand and locked his phone, "If you say anything about the haters opinions, then you're going to get hate. I have thick skin, so I know how to handle it. But you, Jay, I couldn't even bare if anyone had a wince of hate for you." She admitted to him put his phone in the pocket of her robe, and wiped away one of Jay's tears from his cheek.

Jay sniffled, "It's not right though. Why are they allowed to say such hateful things to you? You have never done anything wrong to them and you've apologized for everything you have done in your past and everything is fine. Why you, love." he cried out wrapping his arms around her waist and taking in her scent once more for comfort.

"Because the haters and just going to hate. I don't need to apologize to them when it has nothing to do with them. The media doesn't need to know every aspect of our lives, that's just not how humans work. They are just bored and jealous, that's why they send hate, babe. Don't worry about it, all that matters is us and nothing else." She told him while playing with his brown curls.

The Master of Lightning sighed, "Ok. j-just tell me if there's anything going on next time. I could've helped sooner. And I feel a little embarrassed that I just found out about all this."

Nya kissed his cheek, "I'll make sure to tell you next time, but I'm still wondering something. You don't usually look at the comments. What made you change your mind?" She questioned.

He shrugged, "Lloyd."

"Drama Queen." Nya stated, rolling her eyes, "And this is why I didn't want him having social media."

"He's almost eighteen, Nya."

"He has the mind of an eleven year old in a teen body. We still haven't told him how babies are made yet, and we all know how that went with all of us." The both shiver in the memory. Before Lloyd came along, Wu had given all of them 'the talk' about puberty, and he didn't separate the girls lessons from the boys...

Jay pecked her lips, "I better yet back to the others while you get changed for the next shoot. If I don't get back to Kai soon he'll think you either died or some overprotective dirty minded stuff." He said.

Nya's eyes widened, "Kai knows?"

"He gave me the dad look before I left."

"I'm not suppose to be posting things of you and I kissing on social media." She whispered to him.

The blue ninja paled, "Welp, looks like I'm gonna get murdered today!"
