A loud bang from the door opening suddenly woke Taiji from her sleep. Groggily sitting up, she came face to face with Taro and Takashi.

"Get up dumbass," Takashi pulled the female captain out of bed, "We have to go for our annual shrine visit!"

"Did you stay up late playing video games, Nee-chan?" The little boy tugged at her foot, trying to help Takashi.

Taiji yawned, "I had to finish that boss battle before Kenma."

Reluctantly, the female gave in to her brothers and got ready to head to the shrine. Takashi told his siblings about his weird dream on the way, which earned laughs from Taiji.

"I think you should cut back on watching shows before bed," Taiji chuckled, "I can't imagine becoming a detective."

"I think that you'd be a super cool detective, Nee-chan!" Taro swung his hands in the air, "Catching all the bad guys and protecting everyone!"

The female captain picked up her little brother, "I have enough trouble with taking care of you and Taka-chan, I think that's enough for me,"

Just as they were about to head up to the shrine, Taro started struggling against Taiji, making it hard for her to carry him.

"What's up, little man?" Takashi tried helping his little sister, "Do you want me to carry you?"

The little boy continued struggling, "No! I want Kuroo-san!"

Confusion struck the two, why would Taro suddenly want Kuroo to carry him? Putting him down, Taiji was about to reason with him. But the little boy took off, running behind them and into someone else.

"Taro where are y-" The female captain finally saw why he wanted Kuroo.

"Kuroo-san!" The little boy was picked up by the bedhead.

The male captain quickly flashed a smile to Taiji before shifting his attention back to Taro, "Hey there, were you giving your sister a hard time?"

Taiji smiled at the sight of Taro and Kuroo getting along, which made the butterflies in her stomach flutter.

Takashi sneaked a picture of his lovestruck little sister, knowing that he would want this photo down the road.

"Do you want to join us?" Takashi gestured up the hill, "It seems like Taro wants you to."

Together, the four made their way up to pray at the shrine, going to pick their fortunes after.

"I got a future blessing," Takashi waved his paper in the air, "What about you guys?"

Kuroo revealed his own, "I got a small blessing."

Taro pulled Taiji's sleeves, "What about you, Nee-chan?"

"I got a..." The female captain trailed off, "... a future curse."

Takashi teased the female captain, "You really do have rotten luck."

"It's just a fortune," Kuroo patted her shoulder, "Don't think too much about it."

"Yeah, you're probably right," Taiji laughed, "I should probably go tie it somewhere."

~~~
"I had the weirdest dream last n-" Takashi was cut off.
"Please stop telling everyone about your weird dream." Taiji facepalmed, "You weren't even in it!"
Takashi stuck his tongue out, "I was, I just died that's all."
Kuroo and Taro watched as the two continued their banter, bringing up topics that weren't even related.
"Why are my onii and nee-chan always like this?" Taro whispered to Kuroo, which made the male burst out into his ugly laugh.
"Why do you even like him?" Takashi furrowed his eyebrows, "He's got that laugh that makes people think twice."
Taiji smacked her brother's shoulder, "I think his laugh is cute; you wouldn't understand."
"Why wouldn't I?" Takashi tilted his head.
The mischievous glint in Taiji's eye sparkled, "You'll understand when you get a girlfriend."
"Screw you." Takashi pouted.
"No thanks."
~~~

After their shrine visit, Takashi had to leave earlier to meet up with some of his friends, leaving the three of them alone.

Taro, Taiji, and Kuroo walked around a nearby park. Taro between the couple as he held both of their hands.

"Do you wanna go home yet?" Taiji asked Taro.

"Can we go to the playground?" The little boy pointed into the distance, "I wanna play with Kuroo-san!"

Taiji laughed, "If it's okay with him."

"Of course," The bedhead grinned, "How could I say no to you?"

A lady watched the three make their way to the playground, "People are having kids at such a young age nowadays!"

The lady beside her tilted her head, "The boy doesn't look too young either."

The two ladies started gossiping about the "small family", more ladies joined as the topic got more intricate.

"Maybe he was unplanned?"

"I don't think I see a ring on her finger either."

"They do look very young though."

The group of ladies slowly sneaked to the playground, looking for the three.

~~~
Taiji watched as Kuroo pushed Taro on the swing with a smile on her face, sneaking a picture for the background of her phone.
As she was in the middle of putting her phone back into her pocket, a lady slid to her side.
"Hello there!" She chirped, "It's a lovely day, isn't it?"
Taiji smiled, "It is."
The lady pointed to Taro, "He's such a cute boy, how old is he?"
"He's 6." Taiji beamed, unaware of the lady's true intention.
The lady tilted her head, "And that man with him, is he your husband?"
"Ah-" Taiji was cut off by another lady.
"How old are you, miss?"
"I'm 17-"
The ladies were horrified, "That's a very young age to have a child!"
Taiji stood up, stopping the ladies from saying anything else.
"Ma'am," Taiji cringed, "That's my little brother, and that man is not my husband."
The two ladies stared at her with wide eyes and apologized for jumping to conclusions.
After the two ladies left, Taro went back to Taiji.
"Do you know those ladies, Nee-chan?"
Taiji sighed, "No, I don't."
Kuroo picked up the little boy, "You look flustered, what happened?"
"A small misunderstanding."
From afar, the ladies watched the three walk away.
"They would look really good together."
