Abi's P.O.V.

"I'm going to make a start on dinner." Clint said.

"I'll help." I said as I followed him to the kitchen.

I jumped up and took a seat on the island as he started grabbing all the different ingredients and placed a big turkey next to me, it was the biggest turkey I had ever seen.

"I need you to get your perfect butt off of there, I need the space." Clint said as he lifted me down.

"I said no PDA!" Tony called.

"Only at the table." Clint retorted, quickly pressing a kiss on my lips.

"Touché." Tony said before returning his attention back to the TV.

We, well Clint, prepared the turkey and put it in the oven before turning our attention to all the veg and everything else. It took a while but by 2pm we had everything in the oven and we made our way back over to the couch.

"That already smells great you guys." Bruce said with a smile.

"I definitely can't take any credit, Clint did like 99% of the work. All I did was peel the vegetables, he did everything else." I said, looking up at Clint.

I pecked his lips before Tony put another movie on, this time it was The Holiday, this used to be one of my grandma's favourites. Whenever we used to go up to my grandparent's house around Christmas time, I'd always sit and watch this movie with my grandma.

"I'll be back in a minute." I said before walking away.

I made my way to my room and laid down on my bed, covering my face with my hands as a few tears escaped and rolled down my cheeks. Memories of my grandparents flashed through my head, I missed them so much and I wished they could have been here to meet Clint and, eventually, the baby too. A few seconds later my door slowly opened and Clint stepped into the light, he quickly came over and sat down next to me on the edge of the bed.

"What's wrong?" He asked quickly.

"I just miss my grandparents, this time of year is when it really gets to me. I used to watch that movie with my grandma every Christmas and it just made it all come flooding back." I said as he pulled me onto his lap.

"I know it's hard, but they're watching over you and they would be so proud of you." He said.

"I wish you could have met them, they would have loved you." I said with a sad smile.

"Me too, they sound like amazing people." He said.

"They were." I whispered.

I had my head rested on Clint's chest as I listened to his steady heartbeat and his chin was resting softly on the top of my head, and we stayed like that for a while until he moved so that I was looking up at him.

"You ready to go back into the living room now?" He asked.

I nodded and we stood up, making out way back to the living room. Bruce had a concerned look on his face but, thankfully, he didn't ask any questions as Clint and I took our seats back on the couch. I didn't really pay much attention to the film, knowing it would probably upset me if I did, so instead I watched Clint and the way he stared intently at the TV, his jaw clenching every now and then. After a little while he looked down and noticed me staring, a smile spread across his face as he leant down and kissed me softly. When the movie finished, the others started watching another whilst Clint and I checked on the food, it was 4pm now and the food was almost ready.

"How much longer will the food take? I'm starving, we haven't eaten since breakfast." Tony complained.

"It's almost ready." Clint said with a smile as he slung his arm around my shoulders, pulling me in close to him.
