Clint's P.O.V.

I let out a groan as my alarm woke me, quickly turning it off so that it wouldn't wake Abi too, I dragged myself out of bed and made my way into my room. Quickly, I showered and got dressed before slipping my boots on, I went back to Abi's room to check on her one last time before I left. I walked over to her, she looked so peaceful when she was asleep, as if she didn't have a care in the world. I bent down and pressed a kiss on her lips, I felt her kiss back and when I pulled away her eyes fluttered open.

"Morning beautiful, how are you feeling?" I asked, seeing a blush rise to her cheeks when I called her beautiful.

"The same as last night, if not worse." She said with a sigh.

I hated seeing her like this, I wished I could take all the pain away.

"Where are you off to at 6am?" She asked me tiredly.

"Fury has called me away on a mission, but I'll be back in time for New Year's Eve and Tony's big party he throws every year." I said.

"A mission? The day after Christmas? Can't you just tell him no and get back into bed?" She groaned.

"I wish, but I'll be back soon and I will call every night and every morning, I promise." I said.

"Come back quickly, I don't think can handle Tony's jokes by myself for very long." She said.

"I'll be back before you know it darling. I love you." I said, pressing a kiss on her forehead.

"I love you too." She whispered as I walked out.

Abi's P.O.V.

Clint had been gone 2 days now, it was the 28th of December so I only had 2 days left until he was finally back. It had only been 2 days but they felt like the longest 2 days of my life. I hadn't left my bedroom very many times in the last 24 hours, the only times I had gotten out of bed were to go to the toilet, be sick or to get food and water. The others had tried coming in and checking on me but I ushered them out quite quickly, unable to listen to voices without feeling like my head was about to explode. I didn't speak to Clint on the phone last night, I had to get Tony to text him for me and tell him I couldn't, despite how much I wanted to hear his voice my head just hurt to much. There was a knock at the door and I waited, knowing whoever it was would open the door eventually, I didn't want to call out to them; just the thought of speaking made my head throb. A few seconds later, the door opened slowly and Tony's head popped in.

"Morning. I brought you some toast." Tony whispered.

I smiled gratefully at him as he handed me the plate and took a seat on the edge of my bed.

"Are you feeling any better?" He asked, his voice barely audible.

I shook my head and he sighed.

"Are you feeling worse than before?" He whispered.

I nodded and he frowned.

"Do you need anything else?" He asked.

I handed him my empty glass and he nodded as he got up from where he had ben sat.

"I'll fill this up and bring it back in a minute." He said before leaving.

I slowly started to eat my toast but I only managed half a slice before my stomach started doing flips and I decided not to eat anymore in the fear I would throw up again.

Tony's P.O.V.

As I walked out of Abi's room, my hand flew up and covered my mouth; she looked awful. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialled Clint's number as I walked to the kitchen.
