Abi's P.O.V.

I was woken by the twins crying at 6:45am, I got up in a daze and stumbled next door to their nursery, I fed them and changed them before putting them back into their cots. They fell asleep almost instantly so I made my way back to mine and Clint's room, a bit more awake now, and a frown formed on my face when I walked in; Clint wasn't in bed. I made my way to the kitchen to see if he was there but the only person there was Sam, he had his back to me and hadn't realised I was there.

"Hey Sam." I said, making him jump.

"Hey Abi, how are you and the babies? I want to meet them." He said with a grin.

"We're fine, and when they wake up you can meet them if you're still here." I said.

"Well I should be, considering I live here now." He said with a chuckle.

"Oh, sorry, nobody told me." I said, feeling my cheeks flush red from embarrassment.

"Don't worry about it." He said.

"I don't suppose you've seen Clint this morning have you?" I asked him.

"No, I haven't seen him, but I only got back from a mission about half an hour ago so you're the first person I've seen." He said.

"Okay, thanks anyway." I said.

"Let me know if you find him." He said.

"Will do!" I called as I headed back to my room.

I tried calling Clint but he didn't answer so I quickly showered and got dressed before going back into the twins' nursery as they had woken up again, I took them into the living room where there was a play mat laid out for them. I laid them out on it and they played with, well hit, the toys that were hanging above them whilst I took a seat on the couch.

"Morning." Steve said with a nod as he walked into the kitchen in his running gear, covered in sweat.

"Hey, have you seen Clint this morning?" I asked him.

"Haven't seen him since last night, sorry." He said as he poured himself a glass of water.

"Okay, no worries." I said with a frown, where the hell was he?

Steve headed back to his room and as soon as his door closed, the elevator doors slid open and Sam walked out, a grin spreading across his face when he saw the twins.

"Oh my god, they're adorable!" He squealed like a girl.

I couldn't help but laugh, I had never heard his voice sound so high pitched before in my life, and it earned me a glare from him as he crouched down beside the twins.

"You better not tell anyone about that." He warned but I could see he was fighting a smile.

"Yeah whatever Wilson." I said with a grin.

"Can I hold one of them?" He asked me.

"Of course." I said and he instantly lifted Madison off of the floor.

"She's so beautiful." He said with a smile as she gripped his finger in her little hand.

"Isn't she?" I said and couldn't help but smile.

I hadn't thought that Sam would be like this around kids but it was adorable to see, he was being so careful with her and she was staring up at him with her big blue eyes.

"I think someone's already claimed the favourite uncle title." I said and he chuckled.

"Just don't tell Tony, he's been telling everyone that he's going to be their favourite uncle." Sam said with a smile.
