Clint's P.O.V.

"What the hell is going on?" Abi yelled, being a bit louder than necessary.

I saw the doctor's eyes widen and everyone else looked a bit shocked at her sudden outburst too, I knew I had to calm her down before she got kicked out.

"Baby come o-" I began before she cut me off.

"Don't 'baby' me, I want to know what is going on with my little boy." She said angrily, shrugging off the arm I had put around her shoulders.

"Sorry." I said softly.

I knew, by the look in his eyes, that Tony was going to remind me of that later, call me whipped or something like that but I didn't care at the moment; all that mattered was Axel.

"We've run a few tests and we are still waiting for the results but it seems that your son might have the same abilities as you Miss Gilbert, were you with him when it happened?" The doctor asked her.

"No, Clint and I were on our way back from the SHIELD hospital in Hawaii when I got a call from Tony to tell me they were on their way here." She said, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Mr Stark, what happened before Axel got really hot and passed out?" The doctor asked Tony.

"His twin sister, Maddy, snatched his favourite toy out of his hands then all of a sudden his face went really red and he just passed out." Tony explained.

"Well that explains it then, it says here that your powers can come to life when you get overly emotional, is that true Miss Gilbert?" The doctor asked.

"Yes." She said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Well that's likely to be the cause then; when a child has something taken away, especially their favourite toy, they can get very angry or sad and if this was a very strong emotion for Axel then that's why he has displayed these abilities." The doctor said.

"But Abi didn't show hers until she was 16, and there were things that happened that would've been highly emotional for her too but she still didn't show her powers." I said, a little confused about this whole thing.

"It could be different for each person but I can't be sure of that; these are the only two cases of abilities like these that I've ever seen. You would be better off seeing an expert in mutants about these abilities, they would be able to tell you more than I can and they would probably be right whereas I'm not too sure." The doctor said.

"Can we go in and see him now?" I asked quickly.

"Of course, but I'll be back soon to check everything is alright." The doctor said before walking off.

We all quickly made our way into Axel's room, I was now carrying Maddy after taking her off of Sam, and we gathered around Axel's bed, Abi was the first one to talk.

"Hey little man." She said, pressing a kiss to his forehead.

He spoke back to her in his own little language, babbling away as we all watched him in awe, he didn't have a care in the world and it was perfect, just the way it should be. I took a step back and watched as everyone fussed over Axel and Maddy, a smile made it's way onto my face and I couldn't help but think how thankful I was for everyone in this room. Tony looked up at me and came over, standing by my side as he spoke.

"I'm so sorry." He said sadly.

"This was not your fault, we were going to find out some time and I'm happy we found out sooner rather than later. Besides, you did nothing to cause this anyway, Maddy stole his toy and he got angry with her; none of this is your fault Tony." I said to him.
