Abi's P.O.V.

"This is the last mission you're ever going to go on." I said quietly as we boarded the plane.

"I know, it feels surreal, but at least I get to do it with you." Clint said, taking a seat in the window seat.

"You're turning soft." I said with a smile.

"That's your fault, you bring that side out in me; you always have." He said, pressing a kiss on the top of my head before we had to buckle up ready to set off.

It was a simple recon mission, we scout out the hydra base for a couple of days and record anything we see, then back home; it was a three day mission, four days maximum. We landed in Russia and I hugged my coat tighter to my body as the wind whipped at me, we made our way to the car that Fury had arranged to be here for us. We put our bags in the trunk and climbed in, Clint drove us to the hotel we were staying in under our false identities, we needed to stay under the radar for as long as possible, hence the plane ride rather than the quinjet.

"Wow, Fury really splashed out." I said in a mocking tone as I looked around our tiny hotel room.

"We're barely going to be here." Clint said with a chuckle.

"Yeah but still, the bed looks like it's going to feel like we might as well be sleeping on the floor, the mattress is so thin! I don't even want to see what the bathroom looks like." I said, making him laugh.

"Come on babe, get changed and grab your gear then we'll go." He said with a chuckle.

I grabbed my bag and unzipped it, getting out my suit and changing into it before I slipped on a pair of sweatpants and a jumper over the top so people couldn't see it. I put my coat back on and turned around to see Clint was already changed and waiting for me, I had no clue how he did it all so silently.

"Ready?" He asked as I slung my rucksack onto my back.

"Yeah, let's go." I said.

We climbed into the car and Clint drove us as close to the base as possible before we had to stop and walk the rest of the way to reduce the chances of us getting caught. We quickly stripped off our sweat pants and hoodies before we set off, following the directions Agent Hill was giving us through our earpieces.

"You should have a good view of it from the top of this hill when you get there." Hill said.

"I thought this was only a small base." I breathed when we reached the top; it was huge.

"It's a smaller base for them, all you two need to do is mark any entry points and just keep watch for a little while, we need to know roughly how many agents are there, guard rotations, etc." Maria said.

"Okay, well then let's split up and meet around the other side, you can go one way and I'll go the other, that way we can get the entry point bit over and done with pretty quick." Clint said.

"Are you sure?" I said to him.

"Yeah, it won't take long." He said.

We made sure we both had everything we needed before we set off, going in separate direction so that we could cover half each and then regroup at the other side. I stuck to the tree line, my dark coloured suit would keep me well hidden as I checked along the fence line for any weak points that we could use to gain access. I quickly stopped and hid behind one of the trees when I heard voices I peered around to see it was just two of the guards changing posts. I carried on around the fence, I found a damaged area of fence that could be used so I marked it down on the map on my phone and carried on but stopped when I heard Clint talk.

"Shit." Clint hissed.

"Clint what's going on?" I asked quickly.

"The main gate, I didn't even think about it, I think I've been spotted." He said.

"Get the hell out of there now." I demanded.

I heard some grunts and then a few gun shots echoed around, I raced to climb one of the trees and looked across to see Clint being dragged into a big open space inside the gates. He was dropped onto his knees by the two guys and some other guy came over, he looked to be pretty high ranked, and he hit Clint with his gun, almost knocking Clint out. I screamed his name as I jumped down from the tree and raced towards the fence, letting the fire engulf me as I went, the heat radiating off of me melting the fence before I even reached it. I didn't have control as I set light to the agents surrounding Clint and those running towards us.

"Clint go!" I yelled as he stumbled to his feet.

I burned everything in sight, I didn't care what Fury was going to say, my only care in that moment was getting my husband out alive. The building exploded and glass shattered everywhere as plumes of smoke filled the sky, when I was satisfied that there would be nobody coming after us, I followed after Clint and helped him to get away. He'd been hit in the shoulder by one of the bullets and he definitely had concussion from that blow to the head so I quickly raced us back to the hotel.

"Fury." I answered my phone.

"What the hell happened?" He demanded.

"Clint got caught, I had to get him out." I said.

"By blowing up the entire place?" He yelled.

"I'd do it all over again if it means my husband comes home with me safe." I said, trying to stay calm.

"That wasn't the plan!" He yelled.

"Well send someone else next time then!" I yelled, losing it and hanging up the phone.

I helped Clint slip his hoodie on, his cargo pants and boots didn't look too suspicious but I had to put my sweatpants and hoodie back on before we headed inside. When we reached our room, I helped him out of his hoodie and pulled my med kit out of my bag, I'd helped Bruce remove bullets enough times to know what I was doing.

"Bite down on that." I said handing him a towel.

I removed the bullet and cleaned the wound before stitching him back up, he let out a sigh of relief when it was finally done and I took a seat on the couch beside him.

"Fury is going to be so mad." He said with a chuckle.

"Oh well, it's our last mission so he can't really do much else now anyway, also I text Tony and he's sending his jet to come pick us up." I said.

"I can't wait to get back and see the little ones." He said with a smile.

"Me too, it hasn't even been a day yet and I'm missing them like crazy." I said.

"We have time to grab some food before we head to the airport." He said with a grin.

"That sounds great." I said.

We changed into 'normal' clothes and made sure we had everything before heading to the nearest McDonald's for a bite to eat before we made our way to the airport. Tony's jet was so much more comfortable than a normal plane, and after what happened, I needed some sleep to regain the energy it had drained. I was woken when we bumped as the jet landed, Happy was waiting for us to take us back to the tower and I couldn't help but smile as we arrived; I couldn't wait to see my babies.

"Jarvis, where is everyone?" Clint asked as we stepped into the elevator.

"Doctor Banner and Mr Wilson are in the lab and everyone else is the training room." Jarvis said.

We made our way to the training room to see them all huddled around the door in the far corner, the one where I was first training, Steve and Nat were holding the twins whilst Tony peered in through the window of the door.

"What the hell is going on?" I asked.

"It seems Walker is more like his mom than we thought." Tony said sheepishly.

"Meaning..." I said.

"He's got your powers." Steve said.
