Challenges (Eventual Sasuke Uchiha x Reader)

Challenge Eight:

Recently Sasuke had been distancing himself from you. Maybe he was upset his two best friends weren't hanging out with him as much. "Sasuke!" You called as you sped walked down the hall.

"What?" He practically spat. You could almost feel the anger rolling off him in waves. Sasuke sure could be scary when he wanted to.

"Want to go grab some food?" You questioned. Food always made everyone feel better. Maybe Sasuke was hungry and angry. Hangry. Sasuke was most definitely hangry.

''No!" Sasuke retorted before turning to walk away.

You couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed. "Maybe next time. Sorry for bothering you..." You trailed off, feeling slightly upset.

Sasuke's face softened a little bit, before hardening up again as he left. You frowned, something was definitely up with Sasuke. He was acting like how he did when you had first met.

"Hey. Wanna come to my house and hang out a little bit?" Naruto asked, as he took your hand. The news of you and him dating had spread around the school like wildfire. Everyone thought you were a perfect couple, causing people to greatly support your relationship.

You smiled at him. "Sure. Let's go!" Naruto lived round three blocks away so you just walked to his house. It was snowing, but only slightly.

Naruto unlocked the door. His mother was cooking, and his father was sitting at the dining room table reading the newspaper. "Hello Ms. Uzumaki, Mr. Namikaze." You said cheerfully.

"y/n, you can call us by our first names! No need to be so formal. After all, you're now part of our family." Kushina remarked, still stirring whatever she was cooking. Minato nodded in agreement.

"Hey mom, what are you cooking?" Naruto asked, peering over Kushina's shoulder as she stirred the dish constantly.

"Just some stir fry. I would've made something nicer if you had told me that you were bringing your girlfriend here." Kushina replied, smacking her son on his head.

"Oh no that's fine! I live by myself so I usually don't eat home made food that often." You said with a slight smile.

"If you ever need home-cooked food just ask!" Kushina exclaimed. Naruto's parents were incredibly kind. They had accepted you into their family and house almost instantly.

"Itadakimasu." You whispered before digging in.

"If you don't mind y/n, why do you live alone?" Minato asks curiously. "If you don't feel comfortable answering that then you don't have to answer." He continued.

"Also if you ever need help we're here for you." Kushina added.

"Oh I just live alone because my parents live in Japan and work there. I lived in Japan for a few months when I was a baby then we moved here because my dad got transferred because of work. A few months ago my dad was called back to Japan but I wanted to continue my education here. All of my friends are here, and also I only know simple common Japanese phrases. I have an apartment and a part time job to pay fot it. Also my parents send me checks and emails often. So I'm not struggling, but thank you for caring." You explained calmly.

"Oh that makes sense." Naruto commented, pausing from eating to look up and smile at you.

"Yeah..." You replied, feeling a bit awkward. Your phone buzzed and you instant said, "Oh I'm sorry, I'll turn that off." You quickly answered the message before you turned the ringer off.

[Message][From Sasuke]: We need to talk.

[Message][To Sasuke]: We'll talk later, I'm eating dinner with Naruto and his parents ^^

[Message][From Sasuke]: Fine, bye.

"Who was it?" Naruto asked curiously.

"It was just Sasuke. He was being strange like usual." You responded with a small, slightly fake smile.

"Oh alright then." Naruto replied, returning to his food.

You were worried about Sasuke, he was acting weird. Weird in a bad way. What was up with him? Your stomach felt twisted up as you considered the thoughts.

Sasuke, what's wrong with you?

That was slightly longer than I planned it to be. Eh you guys probably like longer chapters anyways :) I hope you all enjoyed this! Recently I've felt more inclined to write this story verses my snk one :/ Maybe I'll only work on this one and get it finished before forcing myself to write the snk one... Not sure about that :P I really doubt that'll ever happen tbh...
