"We're still friends right?" Sophie asked, trying it hard to believe that after all she put him through, he was still so ready to forgive her.

"Yeah, that kind of stuff happens Foster. Don't worry too much. But next time, at least confirm the number!"

Keefe playfully tickled her as she giggled and fell off the bed.

"You're coming down with me," Sophie laughed as she pulled Keefe down from the bed.

He landed with an "oof", which kind of made Sophie feel better that they were already joking with each other.

Honestly, it wasn't just because of the text that she wanted to avoid Keefe.

She wanted to avoid Keefe, because she experienced and developed one of the scariest things ever when she was around him.

Feelings.

It felt so wrong to see him afterwards. He would always flirt with her, but that was because he was Keefe.

Still, Sophie wanted to believe so bad that those were real. That they were real.

But he was friggin Keefe Sencen.

And she was just Sophie Foster.

Sophie Foster would never stand a chance with Keefe Sencen, and so she thought that if she cut contact with him with the text as an excuse, she might just be able to make those feelings disappear and never come back.

She obviously didn't know that absence makes the heart founder.

She missed every second of being alone, since Keefe would always walk with her down the hallways and sit with her at lunch.

Yet whenever she saw him at their usual waiting spot she would run away like the coward she was.

Still, she made a decision.

She was going to confess.

She was going to tell him straight in the face, get rejected and get heartbroken. At least Keefe promised they still would be friends.

Still, she needed the reassurance.

"Hey Keefe?" She asked, both of them still lying on the floor.

"Yeah?" He replied, sounding nonchalant.

Sophie felt her eyelashes twitch as she asked, "No matter what, you would still be my friend right?"

Keefe looked at her, giving her his dull look. "Duh."

Sophie nodded, taking a deep breath. She wished herself for the best as her eyes darted to his lips.

Nope, too big of a leap.

She quickly pecked him on the cheek, and with that her face flushed bright pink.

Keefe frowned as he tilted his head over. "What was that for?"

Sophie felt her panic rising. This was the rejection part. She mentally prepared herself as she whispered, "I like you."

Keefe blinked a few times in confusion, sitting up.

Sophie did too, not wanting to meet his gaze.

Silence stretched and Sophie got more anxious as the seconds ticked past.

"This is how you're suppose to do it," that was the last thing she heard him say as his hands cupped her face and leaned in.

Her eyes widened in shock as their lips touched.

They said that your first kiss was suppose to be like fireworks exploding, like the blossom of flowers in spring, and as light as a touch of a feather.

Well, darn. They were completely right.

Sophie wrapped her arms around his neck, enjoying every second of that kiss.

Ironic as Sophie wanted the previous silence to be over as fast as possible, and now she wanted every second to feel like an hour.

As they finally parted, Sophie gazed into his eyes, seeing how pretty they were even up closer.

"Still friends right?" She asked, hoping that this wouldn't destroy their precious friendship.

"I was hoping for more," Keefe admitted as she leaned against him.

Sophie felt her lips curl up into a smile.

"Up to you. I'll choose what you choose."

"Don't push this on me Foster!" Keefe teased.

"From now onwards, you are mine," Sophie proclaimed.

"Why not you be mine?" Keefe asked as he fake pouted.

"Because I said so," Sophie grinned at how Keefe slouched in defeat at those words.

"What about we call us ours?" Keefe suggested.

"You're such a dummy," Sophie laughed.

"Well, its us now. We're dummies together!"

Sophie smiled as Keefe pecked her forehead.

"Together sounds nice." She agreed.

And for once, she was glad they weren't just friends.
