chapter three — jeno?
"what do we have after this?"
dahye asked as she came back and sat on her seat.
"we have history-"
jaeyu looked up and her eyes widened.
"dahye, watch out!"
jaeyu was about to pull dahye out of the way but it was too late, a bowl of spaghetti came crashing on dahye's shirt.
"that's what you get for trying to talk to jeno"
a girl spat and threw the bowl on their table.
"why'd you do that?"
gahyun grabbed the girl by her collar.
"she was talking to jeno"
the girl replied back.
"that doesn't give you a reason to throw food at her, boram"
eunji stood up.
"guys, i'm fine. i'll just go clean up"
dahye replied, standing up.
by now, pretty much the entire cafeteria's eyes were on them.
"just so you know, i'm gonna make your life in this school like hell"
boram smirked but another voice spoke.
"boram, principal's office. this is the third time this week"
a teacher on duty crossed her arms and shook her head.
boram pushed dahye and walked away, to the principal's office.
"i'll be back, guys"
dahye walked away and went to the toilet.
she was wiping her shirt stained with spaghetti sauce when the toilet door opened, a teacher walked in and dahye recognized her from the cafeteria — she was the one who sent boram to the principal's office.
"are you alright? jeno gave this to me and told you to change into this"
the teacher said, handing dahye a black sweater.
"jeno?"
dahye asked in confusion.
"yes, jeno. the boy who's always getting in trouble"
"i see, thank you"
dahye replied and the teacher walked out.
she walked into one of the stalls and changed into the sweater jeno gave her.
"why would he give me this anyway?"
dahye asked herself, folding her shirt.
she walked out and got to class, all her other friends were already sitting on their seats.
"who's sweater is that?"
gahyun asked.
"um jeno's"
"woah, for real?"
jaeyu asked and dahye nodded, causing the three girls to squeal.
"our dahye is getting the boy girls adore on her first day!"
eunji teased.
"stop it, i'm not"
daye covered her red face.
"someone's blushing!"
eunji teased even more.
jeno was listening to the entire conversation secretly, smiling to himself.
