At Miller South, students were filing in the auditorium. In the hallway, Lexi went up to Finn.
"Finn."
"Hey, Lex."
"Finn, have you seen Mason?"
"No, he usually arrives right now. Guess he overslept."
"I was wondering if you and the others would be up for watch duty again."
"No problem, Lexi. You want us to help, we'll do it. Besides, Mason's gonna need all the help."
Outside the school, Calia and five other zombies were stalking the school from the trees. When all of the students were in, she smirked and ordered her zombies to follow her.
Back inside, announcements were about to begin when the teens heard screaming outside the auditorium. Lexi and Finn went out to see students running through the hallway. Lexi saw that they were being chased by the drooling, decaying creatures themselves.
"Miss me?" Calia said smugly. The zombies have returned.
