"Hey, can we talk?"

George looked away from the computer screen, throwing a glance over at his shoulder where Namjoon was standing. George nodded his head and turned his chair around whilst Namjoon took the empty seat beside him.

It was quiet for a few seconds with Namjoon looking over George's exhausted face. He hadn't been himself for a while, throwing himself fully into working on his album. Something had happened but none of the boys had any idea what it was and it was starting to worry them.

The bags under George's eyes could be seen from miles away, his skin was paler than usual and he was a little skinnier. All happiness had drained from his face and was replaced with pure exhaustion.

"You're going to work yourself into the ground if you keep at this."

George refrained from groaning. He had been told by his manager on a number of occasions that he was working too hard.

"Don't bother, I've already had the lecture from Sejin-"

"No I will bother, George. This isn't normal. I admire your worth ethic, I really do and I am so proud of you for putting your all into this album and the fans will love it, but you know what they won't love? They won't love the fact that you are doing this to yourself."

George sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"Is this about Hwasa?"

"What? Why would it be about her?"

"Because I know you ended the whole romance thing. It's okay to feel hurt, George. You still had feelings for her, just because you're the one that ended it doesn't mean you can't be upset."

George dropped his gaze down to the chair. Swallowing the lump in his throat, he squeezed his eyes shut in an attempt to get rid of the tears that threatened to fall.

"I guess that's one thing that's stressing me out, another is the fact that I need this album to be perfect, I can't let army down. And also...my-my biological mum called the other night at 3 am."

Namjoon visibly tensed. George talking about his biological mum isn't something that happened often, even now when she's back in his life. He rarely ever mentions her.

"What did she have to say for herself?"

George shrugged lightly as his fingers began to shake. Sensing that George was about to breakdown, Namjoon leaned forward and engulfed him into a hug.

Then it happened. The tears that George had been holding in for so long broke free and he turned into a sobbing mess inside of Namjoon's embrace.

No words or explanation was given until George had calmed down fifteen minutes later. Namjoon caressed the back of his head and closed his eyes whilst George clung to him.

When they finally pulled away, George's eyes were red and glossy and his cheeks had tears tracks running down them.

"S-she heard about me buying a car for my dad and the purse I bought for my step mum, she begged me for money and when I denied her-I won't go into detail but she got mad, claimed that I'm selfish and called me a traitor. She even had the audacity to say that she's my mother and she deserves it more than Dahae and—"

George didn't want to carry on. The memories of the phone call were burned into his brain, the horrible words she said, the venom and the disgust.

He had been smart about not letting her fully back into his life. He rarely contacted her, they had met up once after she came back into his life and he made it clear that she wasn't going to be a mother figure to him. She'd caused him so many trust issues that he couldn't let her in so easily.

"She's not your mother, George. Blood wise? Maybe but was she the one who read you stories at night? Cuddled away the nightmares? Wiped your eyes whenever you cried? Put bandages over your wounds? Was she there to love you through your hardships? No. She might have carried you for nine months, but your dad was the one who showed you how to love and raised you."

George squeezed Namjoon's hand and nodded. "She showed her true intentions. She didn't want to be a mother, she just wanted to gain from it."

Namjoon nodded his head in agreement. "Well, you have the biggest family ever. The boys, army, your family. We're all here to love you, George. You don't need her. You've come so far without her. You have everyone you need."

"Thank you, I know I've been intolerable lately and I haven't been around much which has caused you all to worry. I guess I've just been stressed."

Namjoon stood you from his seat and held his hand out. "Well, you can make it up to us by coming to spend some time with us. We've missed you."

And George couldn't pass up the invitation. So, he saved his work and then he headed home to his family, who all excitedly greeted him with open arms.

He didn't need his birth mother. He already has everyone he needs to make him happy.
