chapter six — there is no way
"hello, dahye. please take a seat"
the principal said, pointing at the chair in front of him.
"may i know why i'm called?"
she asked nicely.
"of course, i believe you saw jeno fight hyunjin this morning?"
the principal asked and dahye nodded.
"well, when i called jeno, he admitted that hyunjin was bad mouthing you"
he continued, dahye was in confusion.
"wait, what? so jeno was mad at hyunjin because hyunjin was bad mouthing... me?"
dahye asked, still in confusion.
"yes, that's right. jeno didn't tell me the reason for him to be that mad, but i figured you should know"
the principal replied.
"but did this happen before?"
"from the countless times jeno walked in here, he has never fought anyone defending someone else, he mostly fought people who messed with him"
dahye was even more confused, if that's possible.
"i see, thank you"
"you can go back to class now, thank you for your time"
dahye walked out of the principal's office and tons of questions were in her head. she was in her own thoughts when someone snapped her out of it.
"dahye, did you get in trouble? on your second day of school?"
the person was eunji, holding a piece of sandwich from the cafeteria.
"no, the principal told me why jeno fought hyunjin"
dahye replied.
"why? by the way, the cafeteria's packed and i just finished eating, so i got you this. it's on me"
eunji handed dahye the sandwich.
"thanks, i'm getting you burger tomorrow"
dahye thanked.
"alright, back to the question, why did they fight?"
the two walked into their classroom.
"the principal said jeno fought hyunjin and was really mad because hyunjin was bad mouthing me"
she explained, eunji stopped walking and was shocked.
"no way! the person everyone is head over heels for, is head over heels for you!"
eunji squealed and jumped around.
"there is no way"
dahye shook her head and left eunji, who caught up to her.
"there obviously a way, i'm telling jaeyu and gahyun"
eunji took out her phone and texted in the group chat. whithin seconds, both their phones were getting tons of notifications from jaeyu and gahyun.
