6. To Rosé

I'm not sure about what happened next. I know that I went to Jennie's room to talk with her about the accident; she flipped and knocked me down while letting most of her room objects falling onto me, not on purpose tho; she had a panic attack and couldn't control her powers; I was injured but went to her and hugged her while she cried but then I blacked out.

But now here I was. Surrounded by two women, that seemed like nurses at first glance, in a white and blurred space. I cleaned my sleep tears, blinked slowly and came to my senses.

I am in a hospital

- Excuse me - I said in a low tone and coughed right after since it seemed like ages since I last drank water. One of the nurses looked at me and said something that I couldn't understand to the other

- Hello dear, it seems like you're awake - she smiled kindly. The brunette seemed like a nice person but I really just wanted to know where my brunette was - Try not to move much, you were hurt pretty badly

My eyes widened and I looked at my body, but everything seemed in place. I tried to move but groaned as I felt a sharpe pain in my knee:

- Don't worry, you have some nasty bruises, we had to stitch up some parts and you have to use crutches because of your knee-cap, since you displaced it. But look at the positive side, the thief could've hurt you much more

- Thief? - I asked confused and got scared with my own deep voice

- Yes, don't you remember? Your brunette friend brought you here and said that a thief had broke in her room while you were talking. She said that he lunged at you and you blacked out, but she was able to push him back and he ran away

What. The. Hell. I mean, of course Jennie wouldn't say that she was the one who did this to me since her powers got out of control, but a thief? Well.. it's a smart excuse, but now we're gonna have the police up our asses and we won't be able to tell a coherent story since we'll invent different things.. great

- Don't you remember? - she asked and I nooded

- Yes of course. I don't remember much but I recall being lunged at - I leaned my head against the pillow and looked up - Is Jennie out there?

- If By Jennie you're referring to your friend that brought you here, then no. She told me what happened and said that she had to go fetch her brother

- So my mom is here, but Jennie isn't? - I asked. I already knew the 'disappointing' answer, but I needed to understand that she really just ran off

- Exactly. Oh, but her brother is here - the nurse stated which captured my attention - Do you want me to call them in?

- Yes please - she nodded and left the room

Why didn't Jennie stay? Is she afraid? I should be relieved that the girl who sent me to the hospital, who hurt me, is not out there, near me, but I'm not. I want to show her that being different is not a curse and is actually a gift. I can relate to her in that way. Everyone treats me like an alien just because I'm not wealthy like them, but I have people who support me like Jisoo, Matthew, Lisa, my mom and even Yuna. But Jennie.. she has nobody. I mean she has Mino and his father but they don't know her secret. She was abandoned for being different and now no one knows her but me. Me. A shy person. So I have to be strong for her even if she slams me against doors or sends me flying through windows:

- Sweetie! - my mom rushed towards me and wrapped her arms around my fragile body

- Ah– Mom! - I groaned in pain and she let go of me

- I'm sorry - she attempted to wipe her tears - I was so worried about you

- I'm fine mom

- Well, it seems that Jennie saved you, kid - Mino made himself present. I looked at him and gave him a small smile
