Chapter twenty-seven✓

"I'm fine." Olivia said, trying to convince her very worried friends and herself that she was. But, in reality, she was very much not fine.

When she woke up, she didn't speak, only nodding and shaking her head if they asked a question. It took a couple minutes of only breathing and being alone in the clinic's back room to get back into the best shape she could possibly be in after what she had gone through.

Everyone around her was curious and continually asking her what had happened, but each time the question came up, Olivia would stall or say 'i'm fine' which she very much wasn't.

For the first time, Olivia Flynn was scared so badly that she was afraid to be in the dark for too long. Fearful of what lurked in it.

"Fine?!" Lydia Martin screeched as Olivia repeated the phrase 'i'm fine' for what seemed to be the hundredth time in the last hour. "You call screaming in pain fine?" Lydia exclaimed.

Olivia winced as she recalled the events that had occurred. Everyone was circled around her watching her every move like she was going to burst out crying at any given moment. She hated the pity.

"Okay, what do you want me to say then? I just passed out, it's no-" she started but was cut off.

"Just "passed out" sure, sure." The strawberry blond repeated almost like she was trying to convince herself that's what had happened.

"Can we just focus on the more pressing situation? Like the one where your parents are going to be human sacrifices? I think that's where our energy should be put into, don't you think?" Olivia rubbed her shaking hands together under the jacket where her fidgeting was hidden from her friends' prying eyes.

"I think she's right." Isaac, who had been oddly quiet since she had woken, spoke up. "You guys were out for sixteen hours and the full moon rises in less than four. We can discuss whatever happened later when everyone is home safe and sound." he said firmly and Olivia couldn't have been more grateful for him at that moment.

It was then where Isaac looked over at her for a split second and she could feel that he knew she was uncomfortable with all the questions.

She would have to thank him later.

"Agreed." she nodded, her voice cracking from all the screaming that she had done hours ago.

Scott went to find Deucalion, as much as she hated him leaving yet again, he had no choice. Olivia hadn't talked to him even when he left she said not one word, unsure of what she would say to him in the first place anyways.
