When it came to you, Javier always seemed to notice the little things, even now when everything all seemed to be too much and distracting. This meant that Javier had noticed your change in behaviour recently, something was wrong. He decided not to mention it at first, after all everyone was feeling a little unlike themselves recently. The tension in the camp was only increasing and the loss of friends weighed heavily on all of you.

To put it simply, Javier had noticed that you had been down recently. It seemed that you were always lost in your thoughts, barely noticing when people were talking to you. There were multiple time were Javier had repeat himself. He didn't mind, he was patient and understanding but he was still worried. You also seemed tired, he had noticed that you hadn't been sleeping well. You were coming to bed late, tossed and turned all night, and then you were still awake before him.

It was late afternoon when Javier found you in your shared tent, stepping inside and closing the canvas behind him. He thought that it was time to talk to you about it because it was clear that you weren't getting any better.

"Mi amor, are you alright?" Javier asked casually, as he might on any other day.

"Yeah, of course..." you nodded, giving a small and unconvincing smile.

"Alright...why are you lying?" Javier sighed, placing his hands on your upper arms so that you couldn't turn away from him.

"I'm not..." you denied but he just raised an eyebrow at you, silently telling you that there was no point in lying. "...alright, maybe I'm not completely alright" you confessed, hanging your head.

"What's going on? You know you can talk to me" Javier asked gently, running his hand up and down your arms in a comforting manner.

"I'm just worried" you told him.

"About what?" he wanted you to talk about it, so that he could at least try to help.

"Everything. Don't you feel like the gang is just...changing. There is so much tension that it's hard to breath...and Arthur's cough keeps getting worse. I'm worried about him" you looked up to meet his gaze, your glassy eyes making his heart ache.

"I know" Javier sighed. "We all are" he told you. "We're all worried about Arthur and any sane person is worried about the gang" he brought his hand up to your cheek, wiping away an escaped tear.

"I just have this feeling that something's building...and then it's all going to implode" you admitted, lifting your hands to rest on his waist.

"I think we both need a break. You're right about this place being tense, it's all a bit much sometimes" Javier hummed, tucking your hair behind your ear and pressing a kiss to your forehead. "Meet me by the horses in a few minutes" he told you as he puled away.

"Where are we going?" you asked curiously.

"It's a surprise" Javier told you, winking playfully. You just laughed and shook your head at him as he left the tent. He could always make you smile and feel better.

So, after grabbing your jacket, you met him by the horses. You found him with Boaz and noticed that he had some things loaded onto the back of his horse, including his guitar.

"What exactly are you planning?" you questioned him, he clearly had something in mind.

"You'll find out" Javier assured you with a smile, one that made you smile as well. "Just trust me" he requested.
