Title: Swimming

"WHOAAA." Y/n yells happily as she splashes in the non-radioactive water.
Y/n was currently floating in what she assumed to be a river, it didn't look like a lake or a pond or even the ocean, so she just assumed it's a river. And this river she is swimming in didn't seem radioactive or covered with monsters. So y/n being y/n, decided to go swimming.
Her partner (literally) + Husband Artyom, was with her. Both Artyom and y/n went hunting for food and water, some people like Damir requested to find, as he went along with them but decided to head back to the Aurora not long after leaving with the two.
Damir said he was feeling light headed but insisted on carrying what they all found back to the Aurora.
After a small discussion, which seemed more like an argument. Both Artyom and y/n agreed.
And Damir left the two partners to continue their search for supplies, as he made his way back to the Aurora peacefully.
Not long after searching and hunting for food and water and whatever seemed useful, y/n had enough and felt tired from not finding anything in the past few hours that went by, so she politely asked Artyom if they could leave and head back to the others.
He agreed.
After walking side by side each other for a few minutes, y/n heard a whooshing noise that sounded like water, and in those few seconds Artyom could see his wife getting excited and he knew what was coming next and he didn't like it, not one bit but he couldn't stop her.
Y/n is her own, y/n controls herself not Artyom. Artyom can't control her, not that he wants too anyway, he just wants to keep her safe from harm. He respects and loves his wife, he respects and loves her with all his heart, with all his being. So if she wanted to go swimming, then so be it.
But this feeling he was getting wasn't going away any time soon, he wants her to be safe and y/n swimming in something so dangerous didn't sit right with him.
Artyom watched as y/n rushes towards the sound of waves, y/n then found herself standing in front of a river, not too deep but not too shallow.
Artyom follows closely behind.
Y/n's excitement was beyond her being, she felt so happy and just wanted to dive in and have fun, she knew Artyom would be mad or upset with her for swimming in something that is so dangerous. But at this point in time, she didn't care.
She wants a swim and she will get a swim.
And without a second thought y/n took her backpack off and took some of her other belongings off so she is just left in a shirt, she couldn't care enough about her bottom half.
Once again, without another thought y/n jumped right in, making a big loud splash.
Artyom reaches down to the ground, picking up all y/n's belongings and kept them tightly in his arms. He glances out into the river to see y/n reach surface and shake her head like a dog, Artyom couldn't help but to feel amused.
He might feel this way right now, but inside he was breaking. He wanted to tell y/n that they both should leave, but he didn't.
His wife's happiness is all he cares about at this second. Artyom didn't want to disappoint her or even make her upset, so he stood still and said nothing.
Artyom wanted to join her in some way, he knew it was dangerous but having fun with her would be a blast.
The only thing was...he couldn't swim.
