"Wh-what?" Jenna stood up from the bed, staring down at him before shaking her head. "You don't know what you're talking about —"

"At this rate, I'm pretty sure you're the one who doesn't know what's going on," said Sirius, standing up as well. "I saw Harry that night, Jenna. I watched Hagrid take him away. I told him to give Harry to me and that I was his Godfather, but he said he couldn't and that it was Dumbledore's orders. So I gave Hagrid my motorbike to get Harry to safety faster."

"This is impossible," Jenna muttered, taking a few steps backwards as Sirius tried to go forward to comfort her. "I — I would've known — there's no way —"

"Maybe Dumbledore knew that if you figured that Harry was alive, you wouldn't leave. That you would've been stubborn enough to stay behind for him."

"You bet your ass I was going to stay behind for him!" Jenna shouted, her teeth gritting together. "I'll kill him! I'LL KILL DUMBLEDORE!"

       "Jenna —!"

"—THINKS HE CAN JUST LIE THAT EASILY!?"

      "—Jenna, please calm down —"

"I WON'T CALM DOWN, SIRIUS! HE TOOK EVERYTHING FROM ME! HE TOOK HARRY FROM ME!"

"Listen to me!" Sirius said sharply, leaping forward and grabbing her arms, forcing her to look up at him. "Just think about it! If you knew, there was no way you wouldn't have stayed behind to take Harry in! And with both the old Death Eaters and the Ministry after you, do you think you could've kept Harry safe!?"

Jenna looked down, her eyes filling up with tears once again. "He's alive..." she muttered. "James and Lily's son... he's alive... he was supposed to be with us, Sirius! They made us the godparents!"

With that, the tears started streaming down her eyes and Sirius brought her into his embrace, holding her as she sobbed into his chest.

"I know, Kitten... I know..." he whispered, kissing the top of her head as he ran a hand up and down her back to comfort her.

Jenna then looked up through her tears, smiling feebly. "I forgot you used to call me that."

"Ouch. So soon?" he joked, chuckling.

"I want to see him, Sirius," said Jenna, wiping away her teardrops. "I have to see Harry —"

"We will, Jenna, we will," he said reassuringly. "I have a plan. I've thought all about it, all the way here. But I'll explain everything later. For now... do you think you have anything to eat around here?"

"No," Jenna shook her head, pursing her lips together as she thought about it. "But I can run down the village and buy something. I have my wallet in my pocket from earlier today. And until I come back, you can go take a shower. Perhaps shave your beard, even. There must be a lot of health and care Potions in my parents' bathroom, if they're not too out of date."

"Are you suggesting that I look so bad that I need all that?" he asked sternly, raising a brow at her.

      "What? N-no — I'm just saying —"

Sirius laughed, cutting her off. "I'm just teasing you, Jenny. I know I stink."

Jenna chuckled, smacking him on the arm. "Good to know you're still an asshole after all these years."

"Okay, since when do you say ass?" Sirius asked, mocking her in a dramatically deep American accent.

"Try living there for twelve years. You'll understand," she said, laughing. "Anyway... I'll set a few of Dad's old clothes for you, I don't know what's that you're wearing."

"Now, now, Jenny," he grinned, "don't be too harsh on me."

She smiled. "Just go ahead while I go shopping. I'll put all the security charms around the house, just in case."

"Thank you." Sirius nodded with a smile as she started walking toward the door.

After Sirius went to take a shower, Jenna went down to her father's closet, taking out clean clothes for him and placing them on the bed.

When she left the house, she started putting protective charms around it, hoping that they would work, seeing as it had been years since she had done any magic.

Jenna soon returned home after going down to the village, carrying many shopping bags with her. She placed them on the kitchen table, smiling to herself as she did so, remembering all the times they used to sit around it, listening to Fleamont's jokes as Euphemia shook her head at him in disappointment.

Shaking her head of the thought, Jenna soon went back upstairs to check on Sirius before she could break down to tears again.

When Jenna went up to her room to check on Sirius, she was surprised to hear that the water was still running inside the bathroom and that he was still under the shower.

"Sirius?" Jenna called, knocking gently on the bathroom's door. "Are you trying to drown yourself in there?"

"I'm almost done," his voice called back, laughing lightly.

"Do you want me to come in?"

"No, I'm naked, Jenny! Shame on you!"

Jenna chuckled. "What I meant was that if you wanted any help."

There was a small pause. "A help on what?"

Jenna shook her head, grinning. "Cutting your hair or something."

       "Can I choose something?"

Jenna laughed as she heard him turn off the shower. A minute later, she took a step back as she saw the doorknob turn. Sirius then came out of the bathroom, soaking wet from head to toe with a towel wrapped around his lower body.

She was soon reminded of the day she had tried to sneak into his room to get the Golden Snitch, but then Sirius had snuck up on her after shower, cornering her.

"Well... what do you think?" said Sirius, pointing at his clean beard and snapping Jenna out of her thoughts.

       "You're sticking with it, then."

"Yup," he grinned. "And there was also a potion for teeth whitening, along with other stuff. Your mother really did know how to take care of her face."

"Those were my dad's, actually," said Jenna and both of them laughed.

       "What did you buy, anyway?"

"I bought some ready canned food, so I wouldn't need to cook tonight, really."

"All right, thanks." He nodded, walking toward the bed where she had placed new clothes for him. "You go down. I'll be there in a few minutes."

"Okay," Jenna smiled at him, leaving the room and walking downstairs to set the dinner table ready.

But she then felt a shiver run down her spine as she kept remembering the way Sirius had approached her all those years ago with nothing but a towel around him and the feeling she had got from his hot breath against her neck, their lips only an inch away from one another.
