The heroine will show up at the palace estate in the arms of the king. Her mother, the captain, and the crown prince were also there. That's quite the entrance she had there.

It was as if fate let them found each other.

Edmund with Aiden and Lucas were traveling back from Falem that was located on the west side of the kingdom when they were ambushed by a group of demon near the village. Coincidentally, the heroine and her mother visited a relative in that village and was about to back to the capital for the summer festival.

For some reason, they got caught between the fight. The heroine being a heroine jumped and saved the king from being hit by an arrow, well. .tried to save. The arrow grazed on the heroine's shoulder while the king effortlessly deflected the arrow.

An A for the effort and bravery. But she's an idiot for acting like a hero there.

The arrow containing high-level poison spread in her body. They couldn't leave the dying child who tried to save the king that doesn't actually need to be saved, but for the sake of morals and conscience, they brought the heroine to the palace for healing.

Since Priestess Irene was one of the best healers in the kingdom it will be an easy peasy saving the heroine's life. The faster she heals the faster the debts will pay. But no one expects that the girl who idiotically tried to save the king was a child of the king.

In the book, it was said that the second princess was born from a mistake. I pondered trying to remember how did it happen.

I know that the king truly loves his wife to have an affair but I'm quite unsure of it.

Did he got drunk and banged some random girl. . ? Impossible. That doesn't sound like Edmund would do. He'll probably hit the bed after drowning himself from the liquor and made sure no one will disturb him. An angry drunken king was scary enough for the people to distance themselves.

I jumped out of my skin when someone tapped my shoulder. With heart beating fast I looked at Bwi.

"I'm sorry for surprising you, princess," he gestured in guilt.

"It's fine, I'm fine," I said dismissively then narrowed my eyes at him. "Lately you're hiding your presence that I always forgot you're with me." He moved more silently than before making my anxiety activate.

His body stiffened and quickly said, "Lady Haisley told me to avoid disturbing you when attending, princess."

"Ahh, I see. That can't be helped." Haisley can be strict even to herself when it comes to me. It would be bad if Bwi became like her. "I would appreciate making your presence more noticeable."

I might even think that Bwi's an assassin ready to slit my throat without noticing.

"Will do." With an eased heart, I smiled at my attendant. He proceeded on why he called me. "His majesty and his highness will soon depart."

I pushed myself away from the desk. "Alright. Let's see them off." To the heroine.
