The Letter

3 days later....

Mystic Falls....

Kol's pov

I arrive back home, slamming the door because I'm beyond mad. Elena and her pesky friends including her brother just tried to kill me again.

They still want to kill me so they can complete Jeremy's stupid mark. I escaped Elena and Jeremy three months back after they tried to offer a fake truce. I of course wasn't stupid and knew it was a trap so I got away when Elena thought I was getting ice for a drink but really I just left out the back door.

I didn't want to chance anything so I left town after Rebekah called me to confirm what I expected. Elena and Jeremy were planning to kill me. I was furious obviously but I didn't let my anger get the best of me and risk going back to confront them because I'd only get angrier and give them what they want.

Klaus was pissed that I fled but I didn't care, I wasn't going to stick around while Elena and her wannabe scooby gang were plotting to kill me.

It was both a smart move and the best decision I made as I ended up meeting a very beautiful girl, Davina.

Davina that drop dead gorgeous girl with the sexy body that I met in a nightclub a few towns away from Mystic Falls. Damn she was the most beautiful girl I'd ever laid eyes on and unlike most I actually welcomed her company and enjoyed speaking to her because she wasn't a bore like other women I met in the past.

Then of course there was the sex. Oh wow the sex was amazing, it was honestly the best sex I've ever had. She was a wild and intoxicating little thing, had so much energy, was very vocal and god her body, oh her body was amazing. Hmm I wonder what she's doing right now?

"Kol!" Nik yells pulling me from my thoughts "what do you want Nik?!" I call out as I wander through the house in search of him.

I soon find him pacing around in the living room. "What's the matter brother?" I ask casually plopping myself down on the couch.

"Read this" he says shoving a piece of paper in my face "careful Nik, you almost gave me a paper cut" I scold and he just rolls his eyes. "Oh shut up and read it" he says folding his arms as I sit up properly in order to read the letter.

(The letter)

Dear Klaus,

I know I'm the last person you want to hear from but I think you'll want to listen to what I have to say.

In New Orleans there's a witch named Jane-Anne Devereux who is conspiring against you and your brother Kol.

Now I don't know what exactly she is planning but whatever it is. It's big and it's caused quite the ruckus with the witches and they are restless and afraid.

I promise this is no trap to lure you out of town. Okay so maybe it's to lure you out of town but it's no trap.

I'm tired of Elena always getting her own way so I suggest you leave Mystic Falls and do what you do best torture, kill and destroy.

I only ask you grant me freedom in exchange for this information

I crumble up the letter as I look up at Klaus "a witch is conspiring against us" I say "yes but I don't know if it's true. I can't be certain it is true as it's Katerina and she lies all the time" he rambles "well shouldn't we at least investigate?" I suggest and he looks at me like I'm stupid "are you mad? It could be a ploy to get us in a trap" he says scoffing at the thought. "We will never know if we don't go and investigate. Nik it surely wouldn't hurt to go to New Orleans and find out for ourselves plus it'll get us out of this shit hole of a town" I respond wanting to leave this dreadful little town already.

"Fine but we're only going because I want to know what's going on and I hate knowing there could be someone plotting against us out there" he says "see that's the spirit. I'll go and pack my things and then we'll be on our way" I say getting up off the couch. "Whatever, I'm going to call Elijah and inform him of where we're going" he says pulling out his phone so I just scoff and roll my eyes as I leave the room and head upstairs to pack my things. I'm finally getting out of this town even if it is for a little while.

Half an hour later....

I've packed what I need and me and Nik are now leaving Mystic Falls "finally we're leaving" I say relieved as I get in the passenger seat of the car. "You're only glad to get out of here because Elena is trying to kill you" he says making me scoff "I know you're just as relieved as I am to get out of here. You're growing fed up of Elena and the others trying to come after us" I retort as Nik starts driving.

"I'll miss Caroline" he says making me roll my eyes "sure you will" I respond sarcastically he'll move on to another girl soon enough.
