"Scar, please just-"

"Are you still sending him away?" I say, looking up to my sister who had been rambling on, apologizing.

After avoiding her all day in school, I coincidentally ran into her at home (obviously where we both lived.) I was getting ready to meet up with everyone for the night and she stopped me.

"No. I made Damon undo whatever he did, After you left. I understood where you were coming from." She trails off, looking up to me with pleading eyes.

"Did you tell him?"

"No." She trails off, slightly taken back at the question.

"I don't think I'll ever find it easy to trust you again. Jeremy won't either. You let your hero complex get in the way of our lives." I say, meeting her eyes. I spoke coldly and sternly. No quick apology would make up for the betrayal I felt.

"I was protecting you. I was doing it for you Scar." She speaks again, making me roll my eyes.

"Usually an apology is just that. Doesn't include excuses." I say, turning to my closet.

"I am sorry, I just want you to understand my point of view." She sighs, sitting on my bed.

"I do. Give me time. I'm still dealing with everything. I just wanna forget about it for tonight." I state. I had time to be upset and angry. I couldn't make up my birthday.

Im pretty sure everyone in our friend group needed a break anyways.

"Alright. We'll handle this later. Everyone will be here by 7." She says, I could tell she didn't wanna wait to talk about the subject but she didn't protest. I was thankful.

I wouldn't just forgive her so easily. And I wouldn't do that for Damon either. Although I doubt he cared.

I continued getting ready after Elena decided to do so herself. I chose a cute outfit and did my hair and makeup. I was kinda excited.

The last time I had been around all my friends at once, we were all pretty much terrorized.

The thought of senior prank night reminded me of Klaus. Of course he was the man terrorizing us.

But last night he seemed so different. His sarcastic jokes were still there but not as much. He even showed a sliver of care for me. I wondered if I was just happy someone was paying so much attention to me or if I was just swooned by his good looks. I mean judging by my 9th grade diary, it didn't take much for me to proclaim love.

I shake the thought off as I sigh, looking at myself. Some of our friends had already began to arrive, I'm guessing Jeremy or Elena had invited them in.

I decide I'm finished getting ready. I head out of my room and down the stairs where Matt, Caroline, Bonnie, Elena, and Jeremy all stood, chatting.

"Late to your own party? Classy." Matt jokes with a chuckle as I walk down the stairs.

"Gathering! Not a party! This group has a bad track record with parties.." Caroline corrects Matt, trailing off as everyone nods in agreement. I grimace at the thought of homecoming.

"I can't believe you're 17 already, Scar." Jeremy says as I see him open the fridge and dig out a beer.

ooooh more liquor, great.

Seriously what is up with mystic falls and underage drinking.

"I remember your first day at High school, when you were twenty minutes late to your first class because you got lost." Bonnie comments from her seat, sipping a red solo cup which I assumed was filled with beer.

"Yeah, yeah. I've had enough reminiscing for today." I say, grimacing as I think about the early morning events.

I take a seat and grab a cold beer from the fridge myself. I would usually be scolded but I guess today was an exception.

The night is then filled with stories, drink and laughter.

Caroline had told us about her little fight with Tyler, and coincidentally drunk texted him later in the evening much to the groups dismay. Elena had updated us on Alaric, and apparently his new boo thang that Damon was suspicious of.

Jeremy and Bonnie seemed to get along fine and there wasn't any awkward tension.

The group had its flaws but in general, today everyone looked past that. Today we felt like normal teens even for a couple hours.

Everyone then started to get a little tipsy, and some were especially taking advantage of the occasion.

Everyone was just joking around and having fun. I didn't drink as much as my friends, not wanting a repeat of last night.

My mind wonders to last night. I wondered why the man I had spent the evening with hadn't seen me today.

"So wheres Damon? Seems like something he wouldn't miss." Caroline asks, slightly tipsy. She looks to Elena to answer the question. I find myself wondering the same.

"Founder's hall. Klaus is there too, Wooing over Tyler's mom." Elena says, slightly rolling her eyes. She was defined getting her share of drinks.

"Sounds sus." I comment, refilling Elena's cup and sliding it to her.

"Maybe we should crash?" Jeremy jokes but I only shake my head.

"Crash a party full of adults, tipsy? Won't end well." Bonnie says, I nod in agreement.

"It's getting late anyways. I'm gonna go to bed early. You guys are free to continue." I say, sliding from my seat. I hear a chorus of Goodnights from the drunk teens and they continue their blabbering and drinking.

I climb up the stairs to my room, hearing muffled laughs from downstairs. I smile lightly at the feeling of normalcy, despite the huge fight that will probably happen tomorrow after I tell Jeremy about Elena's failed plan.

I wouldn't feel bad for telling him. He deserved to know just as much as I did.

I walk into my room, preparing to pull out a pair of pjs and a towel to take a shower. Before I even get a chance to a hand is put over my mouth and my eyes meet a pair of dark green ones.

"I'm sorry." He says with a slight grimace before focusing on my eyes, his pupils expanding.

"Go to sleep."

And so I did.
