When you turned 18 whatever you wrote on your skin would show up on your soulmate's. Both people need to be at least 18, if one is younger when the other turns 18 neither would receive any messages.

Today I was turning 18, and was really hoping my soulmate wasn't underage. I was a hopeless romantic and really wanted to fall in love with my soulmate, sending each other cute messages and receiving random doodles on my body. However it's going to be much harder to be private between us since thousands of people are watching my every move.

All of my Unnies had found their soulmate by the media. They would be photographed with marks and messages, soon people would recognize someone they knew with those marks and tip off the news.

I mean they all love their soulmate and have gotten to be with them, but that's not what I wanted for myself. I wanted to keep my relationship out of the spotlight as much as possible. I didn't want to drag someone in to my messy idol life and have them swarmed by fans and paparazzi constantly.

All of my members had soulmates that were normal. Irene's soulmate was a doctor, Jennie's soulmate was a dance teacher, and Mina's was the manager at some restaurant. They had all been very shocked coming from a regular life to our crazy one.

Irene and her now fiance were a huge story, everyone wanted to know about one of the greatest visuals in kpop and her smart soulmate. I'm pretty sure that the pressure from the media is why they got engaged. I mean you could tell they were in love, but neither of them where really in a place in their lives where they wanted to get married.

So I wasn't very excited to have to deal with the media. That was all I could think about leading up to my birthday. But now that it was almost here, my excitement overruled it.

We were doing a special V-live for my birthday. We had cute decorations in the background and we were playing fun little games. Right now we were answering questions from our fans.

"If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?" Jennie read one of the comments out loud.

"My laugh, I think it's annoying" Mina responds.

"I wish I didn't worry so much about what other people think. I would change that." from Irene, I knew what she meant.

" I have ugly feet!! Can I please get some new ones? I trip over these ones all the time too" I shout, trying to lighten the mood a little.

The girls all laugh and make little comments about how clumsy I am before Jennie answers.

"I'd like to be taller, my soulmate is really tall and I can barely reach her." She giggles, thinking about her soulmate Lisa.

"Oh heck, I'm so short. What if I can't even like reach my soulmate?" I laugh, thinking of my soulmate having to bend 90° to kiss me.

I see tons of comments pop up on the screen. Most were about how little I was and how they were so excited to meet my soulmate. Then I saw a bunch of "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" 's which made me realize it was past midnight. I'm officially an adult.

"Happy birthday Y/N!!!" The girls yelled, pulling me in for a hug. We stood there for a while in the embrace before turning back around to the camera.

The comments were flooded with how cute we were, along with lots of one's requesting me to contact my soulmate.

I decided that it wasn't that big of a deal, I'll just show them me writing before we sign off. I love my fans so much and I want to make them happy. Plus it was always cool to see soulmates in action.

"Hey Jen, can you hand me that marker?" I ask Jennie, before being passed a purple thin tip sharpie.

"Ready?" I ask excitedly before putting the tip to my skin.
