Han Jungsik's body felt like it's on fire. Every bits of his cells are erupting due to the mutation and the pain makes him want to die multiple of times.

'You can only be mine.' Repeating his lover's name all over again like prayer for his curse. His strong will to live overpowers the pain.

He can't move his body and the torment seemed to reach his soul as he trembled. Like an acid, it slowly melts him and gnawed him until he became a dust.

The thought of another man or woman holding the youth— his smile, his laugh, and his everything will be given to others. It can only be his!

Suddenly, the pain increased tenfold and he was caught off guard. The sudden shock made him accidentally lose his last breath.

Before the darkness swallow him, his heart palpitated so fast that it almost burst. A light flashed before his eyes and he saw the youth's face.

By instinct, he grabbed the familiar face and then kissed it's lips. He separated it's mouth and probed inside. Tasting the sweet mouth that had saved him from the depths of hell, he felt everything is real.

"Mmph!—Let me go!" Listening to the youth, he let the other go and was struck with confusion.

The perplexed look from his face made the other feel flustered. The little one frowned and pouted, his cheeks are red from indignation. What was this weird man looking like he grew another head after eating his tofu!?*

(*eating tofu means to be taken advantage of)

"What are you looking at? Haven't seen someone beautiful like me?" he let out a proud huff and took a peek at the man's expression.

"Why...do you have cat ears?" As if his words are not enough, he quickly went in front of the youth and grabbed the moving ears without letting the other dodge.

"Bastard! Let go of my ears! Pervert! Basta— Ah! N-no more..." The cat demon youth moaned, unable to resist his nature as a cat. He purred and rubbed against the warm palm.

Han Jungsik felt weird. The youth in front of him is different from his lover but also feels the same as his lover. Observing the 'lover' who turned into a cat, he quickly found the heart shaped mole that resulted from two moles forming near each other creating a heart shape, on the youth's wrist. He let out a sigh of relief and was assured that this human-cat is indeed his lover.

When he was about to coax his lover who turned into a cat, a splitting headache came to him and his vision multiplied by the dizziness.

The human-cat was filled with worry when the man suddenly went limp and scrunched his nose. He quickly sat the man down on the soft mat and let him lay on his lap.

Memories that are not his own rushed inside of his head. The unfamiliar place became familiar and his head turned clearer.

It turns out, this was his past life and the youth in front of him was also his lover in his past life.

His lover, named Wei Yun Gyeong, was part of the demon clan and his demon lineage is a cat demon.

He wondered if that's the reason why he was fond of cats.

However, their situation is not favorable at all. Both of them are part of the royal family, while he is the crown prince of a powerful human kingdom, the other one is a prince from the demon clan. Like fire and water, they waged war every single time.

In his first war, he was betrayed by his close friend causing his soldiers to die and let himself get captured by the enemy.

The one currently leading the demons was Yun Gyeong. When he was sent to a tent, he was too stubborn and didn't let the demons approach him. He still fought with his weak body and the demon doctors were helpless. He didn't stop until Wei Yun Gyeong went to him and punched him in the gut.

The other one did not even hold back and his internal organs were almost ruptured due to original injuries. Fortunately, the demon doctor gave him medicine (after glaring at their prince for further injuring the patient) and his injuries were healed instantly.

He and his soldiers that were healed were transferred to the demon continent where there is a surprisingly human town. They were given a temporary home and food to eat.

Besides his Father Emperor, he was the most disgusted by the demon clan. But he was confused when he saw his soldiers getting treated well and cared of.

Almost everyday, he was showered with kindness and humility by both human and demon citizen who lived there, not at all like what his Father Emperor had instilled in him.

One day, the always missing Wei Yun Gyeong visited his dwelling and said, "Go back with your soldiers. Do not war against us. Do not kill us. We did not do anything to the humans."

This strucked Han Jungsik and by instant, realized that he was getting comfortable to the enemy's place. He looked vigilantly to the demon prince and asked, "Why did you war against us? Why did you kill my people?" He knew the answer in his heart but he needed to hear the answer from the other's mouth, like a slap for him to wake up in reality.

"You humans started it first. Would you stand still and let someone stab you?" Wei Yun Gyeong spat and gave him a ridiculing look, "—say, haven't you wondered why there are humans living well in the demon continent? Wondered why your humans soldiers were able to go back while us demons are killed mercilessly by your people!?"

Wei Yun Gyeong suddenly threw a punch but Han Jungsik didn't dodge. "We helped you win the fight during the gods war, we protected you because humans are weak."

Han Jungsik stared at the demon prince who started sobbing, the punches are turning weaker and weaker. "We had bear the curse of the god's for the humans. We became the clan of the darkness and lived by blood."

The sobbing grew louder and with an unknown reason, his arms pulled the other one and embraced him. "—you casted us away and treated us like plague. Tell me, what did we do wrong?"

Han Jungsik didn't say a word. He looked down and peered at the wet face of the demon prince, the impulse to lick the tears was stopped by him. He sighed and whispered, "I'm sorry."

I'm sorry. On behalf of the human race, I'm sorry.

Don't cry.

My heart hurts.

Author: Now you know that vampires are originally demons but were cursed to live in darkness and in order to see the light, they had to drink blood whether they like it or not.

Basically, this world is Lee Yun Gyeong's world and not the ancient earth.

Han Jungsik and Wei Yun Gyeong are their past life identities. This duck is lazy to create name so I only changed the surname for Yun Gyeong.

Btw, the time spent on the past life and the time on Han Jungsik's real world is 1:1, if Han Jungsik stayed in this world for 10 years, 10 years also passed by the real world. So...poor Yun Gyeong waiting for him.
