Gale handed Kain's will back to Keith, who promptly took it and put it away.
"Thank you for accepting his will. You will begin taking the role of second general the next week."
"I would like to begin today."
Gale chuckled.
"Alright. Well, here's your first task. Alice, could you explain it to him?"
Alice spoke up.
"We received a letter from the king of Zealorus, Onkarden. You, General Gale, and I will be leaving with our soldiers tomorrow to meet him."
Arlo was surprised by this.
It was like all the things he never could've imagined, all happening at once
"First, I have something to ask." Arlo stood up, "I need to find my friends. I lost them when I had to retreat with Eunice."
Gale nodded.
"We'll send a search party to look through the nearby villages, but we have no guarantee they're alive, or even that they're still in Zealorus."
That's right! They could have taken them like they took Claire!"
