Scarlett's POV:
"What happened kitten?" Ashton asked worry written all over his face. I just could not collect myself from what is happening in my life right now.
"Why are you crying kitten?" Ashton hugged me while stroking my hair as I hugged him tighter and cried harder. "What did you see on your phone?"
I showed the messages to Ashton as his jaw clenched tighter "Who the hell did that?"
"Why is this happening to me? I did nothing to harm anyone. I'm so scared Ashton," I sobbed.
"Shhh...Shhh...Don't cry kitten, please. Just remember that I'm here for you and I will never leave your side".
"Can you please take me there Ashton?" I sobbed into his chest.
"What? No, it's not safe to wander around now kitten!"
"Please Ashton, please Amelia is so concerned about me. I want to talk to her" I stated.
"Okay, but I'm not letting you out of my sight. I could not risk your safety again kitten," he said as he kissed my forehead and I nodded.
My whole being shuddered in fear as we reached my flat. The old rusted lock's broken and when I opened the door, my living room's a complete mess with every object thrown on the floor and everything broken. The couch is torn apart, the television tossed onto the ground, our pictures from college hurled and everything seems to be shattered including my happiness.
All the happiness and light drained out of my life as tears started rolling down my cheeks. What have I done to deserve something like this? Who's the one trying to make my life hell? Whoever that is they'd been successful in making my life miserable.
Ashton held my hand tight and observed each and everything intently hoping he could get any clue as to who did this.
A handwritten note is stuck to one of the walls. Ashton reached out and grabbed the note reading it loud.
"I told you to stay away from him but it seems that you are not going to listen to me. I will make sure Ashton will be out of my way before making you mine. In no time you will be mine. Just wait and watch honey."
Listening to those words I gripped Ashton's hand tighter in fear. My heart thumped in my chest loud enough for Ashton to hear it as he held me close.
I was startled as my phone rang loud making the deadly silence disappear.
The display showed Ami's number and I quickly accepted the call.
"Where are you, Ami? I thought you would be in the flat"
"I've been talking to the landlord. Hoping he would have some answers about who entered our flat but looks like he hasn't got a clue and he is blaming us for the destruction," she stated.
"How could he? We haven't been here for a few days now. How's this our fault?" I bellowed.
"Can't do anything now, Scar. He wants us to clear out ASAP".
"Clear out? Like now? I haven't got any place to stay other than this. How can I clear out now not having a place to move to?"
"Don't worry Scar. You can come live with us. I'm sure Ethan would tell you the same. I will be there in a minute," she said as she cut the call.
Ashton looked at me quizzically waiting for me to explain as I spilled everything.
"I don't know what to do Ashton. It's too much to bear," I said as tears trickled down my eyes.
Ashton moved forward held me in his arms and hugged me to calm me.
"I know it's too early but I want to ask you something Scar," he said as I raised my head and looked into his eyes.
"I want you to come live with me. I want you to move in together with me," he said looking into my eyes as my eyes widened in surprise.
"No Ashton, I don't want to be a burden to you. I will find some other place" I said looking elsewhere except in his eyes.
Ashton made me look at him by holding my chin, "I don't want to be away from you, kitten. I want to be with you all the time. Especially now, I can't leave you when you are clearly in danger. I can't bear the thought of losing you. Please consider this doing me a favor."
"Bu..t Ashton...," I said as he silenced me with a kiss.
"Now let's go pack your stuff," Ashton said as Ami entered the living room.
