Welcome back to my oneshots book. I know it's been a while and I'm really sorry about that. Thank you for being patient.

You stood nearby Bag End. Everybody assumed that your husband, Bilbo Baggins, has died, so Bag End was up for auction. You knew that he was alive, but everyone said that you were being unreasonable.

Many hobbits bought Bilbo's things, and it made you sad to see others take his stuff. If only you were able to stop this auction. Unfortunately, you had no evidence that Bilbo was live.

It was very frustrating for you.

Finally, you saw Bilbo arrive at Bag End. He ran up to you and hugged you.

"Oh, darling, it's so nice to see you!" Bilbo exclaimed. He then noticed his stuff being sold. "What on Middle-earth is happening!?"

"Bilbo, I'm so sorry. I tried to stop them, but they wouldn't listen." you explained.

Bilbo had to prove that he was still alive and needed to track down his things. He showed the hobbit hosting the auction a contract that he signed. Your husband explained that he was hired by a friend and that's what the contract was for.

Soon, he got all of his belongings and brought them to Bag End. It was time to put Bilbo's furniture in Bag End.

"Well... this is going to take a long time." Bilbo sighed.

"Come on, let's get started then." you said.

The two of you moved furniture into Bag End and tried to make it exactly how it was before. It felt as if you were moving into a new home, especially since you haven't been in Bag End since Bilbo left.

It was a shame that Bilbo had to come back to all of his belongings being sold. But, you were elated to see your husband again, safe and sound.

"I'm so glad to be able to see you again." you said. "Maybe later you can tell me stories about your quest."

Bilbo nodded. "Maybe tomorrow..."

"Alright then. I cannot wait to hear the tales of your bravery."

After many hours of work, the two of you found a chair and sat down. You never imagined that your first day with your husband since he left on the quest would be spent putting Bilbo's things in Bag End.

It was late in the evening, and you decided to prepare something quick for dinner. As you were eating, Bilbo recalled the time when dwarves entered the home and ate and sung.

"It was absolutely insane!" Bilbo yelled. "They ate our food, they sang as loud as they could... but they were so nice. I loved them."

"Aw... do you think they will come for tea any day?" you asked.

"Yes, I said that they could. They are all my dear friends, and a visit from them would be nice." Bilbo smiled.

"I am fine with them coming, just as long as they don't make a huge mess. I didn't mind the leader of the group." you said.

"He was my best friend." Bilbo frowned.

"Was?"

"Unfortunately, um, he died in battle." Your husband looked down at his laps. "I really miss him."

"My dear, I am so sorry..." you comforted him.

You two sat closely together and talked about the best memories that you two made throughout the several years that you have been together.

"I liked the day we first met..." Bilbo laughed.

You were eating lunch outside in Hobbiton, and admiring the scenic view. It was a wonderful day out. Since it was 1pm, you were eating your luncheon for the day.

"I was also having luncheon that day..." Bilbo recalled.

Bilbo was walking nearby, looking for a place to sit. He noticed that the table where you were sitting was basically empty, so he just sat there with you.

"We were very quiet... well, at the start." you said.

There was only silence. They just ate awkwardly and said absolutely nothing to each other. It seemed that they were a little nervous around each other. Well, it was no surprise, as the two were currently strangers and not many people enjoy eating lunch next to a stranger.

Bilbo moved his hand and knocked over the cup of water that he was drinking from. It spilled on you.

"When I spilled my water on you, I was extremely embarassed. I was worried that I completely ruined your day." Bilbo admitted.

"You didn't ruin my day, you only made it better." you assured him.

"Oh my goodness, I am so sorry!" Bilbo anxiously apologized. "I ruined your outfit and it looked very nice, by the way!"

"Don't worry. It was only an accident." you assured Bilbo. "Do you want to... um... talk and become friends?"

"My goodness that was so bad... it was very, er, awkward." you chuckled.

"Uh, erm, sure. S-s-sure."  Bilbo stuttered.

You two ate luncheon and chatted quietly until you were done with the food. Then, the two of you became friends for a long time to come.

You and Bilbo decided to go to bed. As you attempted to go to sleep, you remembered the time Bilbo tried to ask you out.

You were relaxing in your home, having tea. Soon, there was a quiet knock on the door. You knew it was Bilbo, as he always knocked quietly and you didn't really talk to anyone else.

After opening the door, you saw Bilbo with several flowers in his hand.

"These are beautiful!" you said. "Let me put them in a vase... come on in, Bilbo, there's plenty of tea for you." Bilbo came in your home and sat down in a chair.

You returned from putting your flowers in a vase. Sitting down across from Bilbo, you asked, "So, Bilbo, what brings you to my home?"

"Well... I have s-something to tell you." he said, nervously.

You nodded, prepared for what your friend had to tell you... or so you thought.

"I... I love you." Bilbo said. You gasped. Maybe you should have seen that coming, maybe it was perfectly fine that you didn't expect that. It took you a few moments to process those three words, as you were pretty surprised.

"You know what, Bilbo?" you asked. Bilbo gulped, expecting something bad. "I love you, too."

Your friend sighed. Later, the two of you decided to become a couple, and a happy one at that.

After getting comfortable in bed, you smiled, knowing that even though you and Bilbo's relationship started out awkward, it developed and became something beautiful.
