Ninjago: The Cursed Child

Chapter 2: Home

At the Monastery of Spinjitzu Wu is meditating. He is interrupted by hearing the ninja arguing. Wu goes to the video game room only to find that none of the Ninja are there. Wu goes to the training compound and is shocked to see that the Ninja are actually training. Jay is deflecting arrows with his weapon, Cole is practicing on the dummies. Kai is practicing his Spinjitzu, and Zane is meditating.

Zane suddenly gets up from his meditation process and disturbs the other Ninja. He starts by jumping in front of Jay. He steals Cole's weapon for the dummy test and his spinjitzu freezes the whole compound, causing Kai to slip.

Kai, Jay and Cole regroup. Wu approaches the three disturbed Ninja.

"Sensei, Zane's... weird" Kai said

"What is weird? Someone who is different or someone who is different than you?" Wu questioned

"No, Sensei. He's "weird" weird" Cole said

"We like the guy. He's really smart. He's just..." Kai sighs "a little off sometimes"

"Zane is a brother and brothers are often different. I should know" Wu says

The Postman arrives the Monastery with the Ninja's mail.

"Mail!" Kai, Jay, and Cole all run excitedly to the door.

Postman took out their mail "Let's see. A letter from Jay's parents" Jay grabs it "Kai has a fan letter" Kai grabs it "Oh, something from Cole's father" Cole grabs it.

"What? No package? I'm expecting something from my cousin" Cole said

"No. Nothing from...uh-uh. Here it is!" He hands a box to Cole and leaves.

"Hey, Zane. How come you never hear anything from your parents?" Jay asked

"I don't remember my parents. I've been an orphan all my life" Zane replied

Wu placed a hand on their shoulders "The Monastery is your home now, you have a family"

Zane sadly walks away

"Sensei we didn't mean to bring up a sensitive topic for him" Kai said

"It is alright" Wu said "I'm sure he doesn't blame you"

The Hypnobrai are in the forest creating what looks like a giant treehouse. Slithraa approaches Skales.

"Everyone works while you two slack. As my second in command, I expect more from you, Skales" Slithraa says angrily

"Yes, General. General, you know I am most loyal to you, but I must question this childish agenda" Skales replies "The Ninja have stolen our staff yet you instruct your army to make this playhouse for Lloyd? Snakes don't belong in trees"

"You know better than to question my judgement, Skales. I'll pretend you didn't ask" Sytheraa says

"Hey! If we plan to rule Ninjago from here, this elevator needs to have a trapped door! I want more booby traps!" Lloyd shouts

"As you wish, young Garmadon" Slytheraa bows

Skales looks displeased "As you wish, General" Skales walks to Lloyd's friend and whispers "is their a plan?"

"I have one" she replies "just wait for the ninja"

Later the Ninja are at the dinner table waiting for dinner.

"Oh, I love it when it's Zane's night to cook" Jay said rubbing his stomach

"Hey. I didn't hear any complains about my duck chowder last night" Cole said
