Part 2

Y/N Silver P.O.V

I felt the sun beating down against my back as I rubbed the sand from my eyes. I glanced over the edge of the small boat to find we had landed on an island during the night.

"Charles!" I hissed elbowing him in the ribs. He groaned and sat up taking in the lay of the land.

"Where are we this isn't I/N (island name)." He got to his feet and jumped onto the sand. He grabed the small bow and hauled the boat farther onto the sand.

"Well spotted!" I replied sarcastically for anyone with eyes could tell this was not where we had originally planned to land. I spun around to come face to face with someone who clearly lived on this island.

"What the hell?" I jumped back, bumping into Charels who wrapped an arm around me to stop me from toppling over. There was a woman standing where I had been only moments before, her hair was split up into many small braids and pulled back in a pony.

"Who are you?" She asked a scowl on her face.

"Charels and Y/N." I used our first names because the name Vane was well known and feared.

"Why are you here?" She arched her eyebrow watching us suspiciously.

"We were beached here last night while we were sleeping." She looked us up and down taking in our aperence. Charles was still shirtless so as her eyes stilled for a moment on his muscled chest I felt I tightening in my chest and stepped forward drawing her attention away.

"Come with me." She turned and began to walk towards the jungle. The way she had said it made it sound more of an order than anything else. Charels grabbed my hand to pull me after her. I watched as the woman didn't so much as glance back to see if we were following. There was an abnormality in her step pattern as she spun around a tree. I grabbed a stick from the ground and put my arm out to stop Charles. I dropped the stick a few paces ahead of him and the ground caved in to reveal a pit with spears at the bottom awaiting the unlucky. I spun around the tree exactly as she had to avoid any other traps.

"Observant one aren't you?" The woman had stopped and was looking at the revealed pit.

"Are you trying to kill us?" I squinted letting my hand rest on the hilt of my cutlass.

"I don't know what your talking about." She feigned innocence as she stepped to the side to reveal a village. It was on the other side of a small river but even from here you could see all the people milling about.

"Well let's go." She snapped, I hadn't seen her move but she was now standing beside a small boat that had been pulled ashore. I grabbed Charles's arm spinning around so she couldn't hear our conversation.

"I don't like this." I whisper, tilting my head at the village.

"Me neither but what if we can convince them to help us take back Nassau?" He had a point but I couldn't help the feeling that somthing wasn't right. I sighed shaking my head as I turned back to the woman who had launched the boat and was waiting impatiently a paddle in hand.

"Fine. But here." I opened the small sack of stuff I had grabbed before we left the boat, I pulled out his shirt and shoved it into his hands.

"Aww are you jealous?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

"Nope I just think it would be easier to get them to help if they weren't to busy oogling you." I explained as he slid the shirt over his shoulders. Truth is I am a little jealous, but no way in hell I'd ever tell.

"Sure. Our agreement still stands you know." He said with a wicked gleam in his eye. He was refuting to our friends with benefits agreement. Neither of us had taken advantage of it in a while but that could be changed. Sighing I slid down the small slope to where the woman was waiting. I slid in and Charles took a seet beside me throwing an arm around my shoulder.
