Chapter 16: Smooth
Monday, August 27, 2018, 7:30 PHT
Last Saturday, after my cousins and I had a long conversation, we decided to go to the mall to unwind. It was fun and I somehow forgot about my own issues to my ex. On Sunday, we decided to go to our respective homes.
I woke up 5:00 AM para maaga akong makapasok. We have flag ceremony every Monday at 7:30 AM. Last week ang sabi magpapalit ng pila, so right now, nawawala ako at hindi ko alam kung saan pipila.
"Sis, dito!" I immediately turned my head to see where that familiar voice came. There is Joyce, calling me to go to our line. When I go to her, napansin ko nandon na rin sina Jj, Brigitte at Clea.
"Thanks." I returned the paper to him after I signed my name.
Clea shrugs her shoulders.
Jj asked us kaya lumingon kami sa kanya. I nodded my head while looking at him.
"Same, Brigitte! Hindi ko pa tapos 'yung sakin." Clea sighs.
I squinted my eyes when I saw Lucas standing at back. I was not sure if that was him but when he turned his head into my direction I confirmed it.
He is not looking at me so I have the liberty to watch him. His thick eyebrows are almost meeting each other. His eyes are bored, looking ahead of him. He seems like waiting to start the ceremony but he looks annoyed of waiting.
Hmm.. impatient?
"Napaka chaka nung isa nating instructor. I heard Clea complaining.
"Sis, sinabi mo pa. Akala ko nga finals na natin." Brigitte agrees to her.
"OA sis ha? Parang pang midterm lang." I heard Jj joked at them.
Brigitte laughters made me laugh as well.
I was laughing with them but my eyes were still on Lucas. His medium length hair is slicked back on his head. Mukhang basa pa. I blink my eyes when he rakes his fingers through it. He really looks good when he does that. It makes me want to think that his hair is so smooth.
I want to touch it too—
"Hoy, sino tinitignan mo?" Joyce whispered on me. She is standing before me, and she's now close. I look at her and I see a grin on her face.
"Basta don lang—"
"Siguro tinitignan mo 'yung maputing may balbas ano?" She accuses me.
I chuckle at her. She also laughs when she realizes the way she says it.
After Joyce told me that, I glanced at Lucas whose eyes are still looking in front. I saw him as he blinked his eyes before I looked at Joyce again.
