Chapter 173: Ghost Assistant (V)

TL: Resonance

With a whoosh, a streamlined sports car stopped before Shao Feidu. There was no one in the car, but the sound of the car honking could be heard.

“Get in the car Dudu, let’s go watch an opera.” Shang Ke’s smiling face could be vaguely seen through the car window and even had colourful lighting effects.

Shao Feidu got in the car without saying anything and sat on the front passenger seat. The safety belt was fastened on him automatically. Then, the sports car rushed out like the wind.

This “driverless” sports car zoomed into the city centre and parked familiarly at the carpark behind the opera house.

“Let’s go.” Shang Ke floated out of the car and led Shao Feidu towards the opera house.

This is the first time Shao Feidu is going into such a crowded place alone. Given his international fame, Shang Ke made him wear a mask specifically in case he gets recognised by someone and becomes surrounded.

The opera tickets have already been booked in advance, Shao Feidu just had to show his ID card to enter. Shao Feidu found his seat under Shang Ke’s leading and sat down. Shang Ke then squeezed himself comfortably into Shao Feidu’s embrace and was even holding onto snacks in his hands. Although he could materialise his body at night, no one can see him as long as he doesn’t manifest himself.

Shao Feidu hugged the ghost in his embrace. He didn’t care about the noise from the outside world and was looking straight at the stage.

The lights around dimmed and the performance began. Shao Feidu was very focused while watching the show, seemingly fully immersed. At this moment, the person who was sitting in front suddenly turned his head around 180°, revealing his repulsive face as he gave Shao Feidu a ferocious smile.

Shao Feidu’s body stiffened. His mind which finally relaxed tensed up again.

Shang Ke felt the strength used to hug his waist increasing. He gave the ghost face in front of him a slap unhappily, causing the ghost to get smacked back into the body of the person in front.

‘Every injustice has its perpetrator and every debt its debtor. If you have an enmity with someone, then find that person. Don’t show yourself unnecessarily.’ Shang Ke warned righteously.

No wonder Shao Feidu didn’t dare to go out alone, he meets a ghost everywhere he goes. The first thing Shang Ke will do when he revives is to help Shao Feidu get a talisman.

Seeing that Shang Ke had settled the ghost easily with just a slap, Shao Feidu’s body gradually relaxed. He wrapped his hands around Shang Ke’s waist and pulled him into his embrace.

“Relax and continue watching the performance.” Shang Ke twisted out a piece of jerky from the paper bag and delivered it to Shao Feidu’s mouth.

Shao Feidu opened his mouth to receive it and started chewing it slowly. After he finished the jerky, Shang Ke delivered the drink, serving Shao Feidu till he was comfortable.

Fortunately, the surroundings were dark. Or else, others would definitely see the strange sight of various snacks delivering themselves into Shao Feidu’s mouth

After the two hour long opera ended, Shao Feidu followed the crowd out of the opera house.

They had just entered the hall when they heard a scream not far away and subsequently a commotion.
