We have officially started our countdown to the 2020 Wattys!
The Watty Awards are Wattpad's annual celebration of the electrifying, visionary, diverse voices that choose to share their stories on Wattpad every year. For over a decade, The Watty Awards have celebrated the journey millions of Wattpad writers undertake to bring their stories from their dreams and into the lives of readers around the world.
Wattys submissions open on Monday, July 13th, 2020.
Visit the for all the latest updates on eligibility requirements to submit to this year's awards. This year brings a few big changes, namely—we are seeking finished novels. If you've always wanted to write and finish a novel, THIS IS YOUR YEAR, and we're going to be with you every step, every flourish, every chapter. Full eligibility requirements are available now on Wattpad, but in brief:
- 50,000 word minimum
- Story must be marked 'complete'
- Story must have been posted after January 2017
- Must be in one of the eligible languages and genres
- You must be at least 13 years of age or older to enter
