Y'all, I-😂😂😂😈

Zuria

"Baby."

"Baby." I felt someone shaking me as my eyes popped open and Mitch was laying there, staring directly into my face.

"What's up, ma? You aight?" He asked as I poked my lip out, instantly breaking down into tears.

"Baby." He panicked as I pulled him into me, hugging him tightly.

"Baby, what the fu-" He started but stopped as I cried hard.

"Yo, what's wrong? What I do?" He continued to ask but I'd completely ignored everything he was saying as I laid there hugging him like my life depended on it.

"Zuria." He spoke sternly as I finally let him go, wiping my tears from my face.

"Baby.." He trailed off as I looked into his eyes.

"What's gon' on?" He asked, obviously concerned.

"Whatchu cryin' for?" He asked, obviously confused.

"You was screamin' in your sleep, ma." He told me as I quickly sat up in the bed, looking all around me.

Oh my god, it was all a dream. I thought to myself, seeing myself still in Mitch's bed while the sun shined brightly into the room.

Breathing heavily, I looked back at Mitch while he sat there looking at me in confusion and I couldn't help but to smile.

This was such a relief.

"Yo' ass is really crazy, ma." He shook his head and I couldn't help but to laugh as he stood to his feet, looking at me weirdly.

Walking to the front of the bed, he bent down and pulled me to him by my ankle as I looked up into his eyes.

"Witcho pregnant ass." He joked, rubbing his hands over my stomach as I laid there, allowing him to.

I watched his happiness as he rubbed my flat belly and after that dream I'd had, there was no way I was going to rob him or myself of this bundle of joy.

"Baby, look. If you have my baby.." He trailed off as if he was reading my mind.

"It's gon' be a boy and we gon' name him Money Makin' Mitch. All three words." He went on, making me burst into laughter as a smirk slowly appeared on his face.

"Real shit." He went on, joking while I laid there, admiring everything about him.

His long hair. His perfect skin. His beard. His muscular but scrawny body. All of his tattoos.

"Ugh, I love you, dummy." I couldn't help but to roll my eyes and smile while he smiled down at me.

"Yeah?" He asked and I nodded, slowly.

I meant it, I loved him and I knew God wasn't doing anything but giving us these challenges to see if we would prevail.

"I love yo' crazy ass too." He responded, holding his hand out for me and I grabbed it as he gently pulled me up from the bed.

We both made our way into the bathroom as I sat up in the middle of his double sinks while he got a shower started for us.

I couldn't stop watching him as the dream I had continued to make my heart ache. It felt so real and I couldn't imagine any of that happening in real life.

I should've known it was a dream.

As Mitch got the water started, I watched him as he made his way back over to me and stood in between my legs.

"Whatchu was screamin' for, huh?" He asked, taking his bottom lip in between his teeth as he looked down at me with hooded eyes.

"You was dreamin' bout a nigga beating that shit up?" He asked cockily and I playfully rolled my eyes, pushing him away as he laughed, quickly coming back to me.

"Nah. I'm fuckin' with you, baby."

"You gon' tell me though?" He asked seriously and I slightly shook my head.

"Nope." Was all I said, not even going to speak that mess into existence.

If anything, this was a simple wake up call for me. Not only did I need to get myself together but he needed to as well if we were going to make it work for this baby.

"All I know is we need to get back to therapy, Mitch." I told him and he raised his eyebrows.

"I was wrong for what I did, you were wrong for what you did but at the end of the day, we have a baby on the way and I want us to be able to love him or her."

"And I want Marley to be able to love him or her, just as much. So we need to keep going and Marley does as well." I explained, considering since we hadn't went last week, Marley didn't either.

"Wait-"

"So you gon' have my baby?" He asked as a huge smile fell upon his face and I couldn't help but to roll my eyes at him.

"Yes. I'll have your big headed ass baby." I joked and he instantly lifted me off of the sink, swinging me around in the air.

"Baby." I whined as he put me down, bending down to kiss my lips over and over.

"Babe, stop." I couldn't help but to laugh as he continued doing it.

"Babe." I whined, wrapping my arms around his neck as the steam from the shower filled the bathroom and he swiftly picked me up again, placing me back onto the sink.

"Yo.." He trailed off, finally pulling away as I looked him into his eyes. He was trying his hardest to keep it all together and I couldn't say that it didn't make me happy.

Ugh, I love you. I thought to myself for the second time today. I loved him so much and I hadn't even realized how deeply it was.

Everything was so much clearer to me now. It was like the dream solidified all of my decisions. And that was exactly what I'd need.

"I love you, baby." He spoke as if he was reading my mind.

"I love you so much." He said again, shaking his head as he looked over my face and it honestly warmed my heart.

"We gon' get this shit right, I promise you. I already came up with a plan and everything, I wrote it down." He joked, making me push him.

"Shut up." I smiled wide.

"But I love you too. I really do." I responded as tears began to brew in my eyes, thinking about the dream again.

I'd really almost lost my man and my best friend.

"Oh my god." I gasped, thinking about Retta and I couldn't help but to burst into laughter as tears fell from my eyes and I quickly wiped them away.

"What?" Mitch asked and I simply shook my head.

"Nothing. I just love you." Was all I said as I pulled him to me again, wrapping my arms around his shoulders.

"So how are we gon' do this? You movin' back in?" He asked and I thought about it for a minute, not even realizing that since we were doing this, we definitely had to make changes.

But I wasn't ready to just move back in with him, I had things I wanted to do for myself.

"I don't know, babe. Let's talk about that after we shower and go get Marley. I think we should all spend the day together before making any decisions."

"Because there's still things that I want to do first and I need to think everything over." I admitted to him and he nodded understandingly.

"Aight, ma. Come on then so we can go." He nodded his head toward the shower.

"After you." I smiled small, watching as he dropped briefs.
