"Okay Eli, remember, try not to move and keep your eyes open." A red-haired male tells the little girl in front of him.

Eli rests both of her palms on her knees, her legs swinging about as she wasn't tall enough to reach the floor. "Yes, papa!"

It was no joke that she was excited about this experiment. An experiment where her dad promises that she could control and make the star her own.

Her mother, the number four hero, leans on the door behind Eli. "Dear, you sure this is all right?" She asks her husband, the number five hero. "She's too young to be experimented on, she might-"

Akimoto Kojin cuts her off. "Shh, think of it as a... a game! Yes, a game!" The father stands up, trying to remove the doubt on Akimoto Hikaru's head. "You're excited right, Eli?"

Eli claps her hands together. "I am, I am! Don't worry, mama! I can handle this!" She proudly turns to her mother and points a thumb to her heart, making sure that her mother was convinced.

The father looks at the girl and back at his wife. "See? No need to worry. Just ten minutes." He walks toward the woman and plants a soft kiss on her right cheek.

"Don't change the subject. Just ten minutes." The mother smiles and heads out the door, away from Eli and Kojin.

The father perks up and heads to his daughter. "Okay Eli, in the count of three, use your quirk to turn this match," He grabbed a matchbox and lights one up quickly. "Make it scatter around the room!"

Eli giggles at her father. "Papa, you're funny!" She giggles some more while the father was in the observation room, away from Eli but was still in the same room.

"Okay, three... two..." The pro-hero sits down at his desk and prepares to document the results. "-and one!"

Eli's eyes began to glow a bright yellow hue. The deep red birthmark under her left eye was also glowing, indicating that her quirk was activated.

Come on, Eli! She believes in herself.

The flame on the match started to drift away from the stick and was now levitating on its own, the stick shortly falling afterward.

"Yes! Now, Eli, imagine the flame dividing into many parts– like fireflies!" The male behind the computer motivates the daughter.

Eli gives a small nod, not taking her eyes off the flame. She tries to calm down her racing heart and do what her father wishes. She imagined the flame part into a small flame like that of a firefly's light and imagined it scattered across the room.

"Good job! Now, try to hold it!"

Hold it! hold it... Eli chanted in her head, the flame was now split into small, tiny particles and was scattered around the room like fireflies. She didn't realize that she was holding her breath. She exhaled sharply and the flame dissipates.
