THE LOUD MUSIC PLAYED THROUGH the gym, as the cheer team practiced for the end-of-the-year pep rally. Each girl took turns tumbling across the mat, before meeting up to perform the rest of the choreographed routine.

"Wow. When everyone gets a load of that at the end of the year party, we'll have to force them to take a summer vacation." Principal H complimented as Manny landed the last stunt

"Manny's choreography is more fun than going to the beach." Darcy agreed

"Except there are less hot boys." Baby Roberts joked, earning laughter from the team

"Okay, as captain of the squad, I'd like to say that I adore you guys and I want to thank all of you for your spectacular hard work." Paige announced, removing all attention from Manny

"Well, the school appreciates it, Paige. Thank you so much." Principal H finished as she made her way out of the gym

"For being a big, fat, useless pile of nothing." Manny muttered, causing the team to laugh

"Did you want to say something, Manny?" Paige challenged

"Gosh, no, Paige. It's all you." Manny sarcastically responded

The rest of the team looked around at each other before making their way to the locker room. Baby waited outside of the locker room for Manny, who came storming out and dragged the girl to her locker where Emma and Toby were waiting.

"If I peed in the foyer, Paige would claim she gave me the water." Manny groaned

"There wouldn't be much credit there." Emma acknowledged

"I'd feel bad for the person having to clean that up." Baby commented, earning a playful shove from Toby

"If you were my prom date, I wouldn't let her take any credit." Toby spoke up to Manny

Emma and Baby made eye contact before she turned to the boy, "There really wouldn't be any credit there."

"Shut up, Emma." Toby replied

"I've been knocking myself out. Paige comes to one practice in three months and acts like she owns it." Manny said, making her way down the hall as she ignored Toby's previous statement

"Did you hear the part where I asked you to prom?" The boy called as he trailed behind the three girls

"Toby, you're a sweet guy..." Manny started

"But Manny's going with me. Sorry, but as the newly single head of the dance committee, I had to scoop up the cutest date I could find." Marco interrupted, dragging Manny down the hall

"Why do the gay guys always win?" Tony groaned

"I don't think that's the problem, Toby." The shorter blonde laughed
