The next two days were spent peacefully, I wasn't disturbed by Ridge, Derek or Carson at any time. I spent the entire two days studying and visiting Chloe and Amber occasionally. I decided to finish the assignment I have with Carson alone, so I don't have to see him.
It was Monday and I drove to Eastwood alone, I enter the big gate with a newfound confidence, I don't know from where it's coming from but I find myself incharge of my life, my emotions. I won't let others decide what I should feel about myself. I won't take their bullshit anymore and I feel like I'm finally free, free from their secret, it's not my responsibility anymore, it's not my lookout.
I see Derek standing near 'Kickers' when I go in to get my coffee, I was late for my class so I took my coffee and left, I could see Derek coming to me from the corner of my eye, but I ignore him completely and walk out of his reach quickly.
I went to 'History' but I couldn't see Carson anywhere, not that I needed him, I already have the complete assignment with me and I'll submit it after the class.
Carson didn't attend the class, the bell rang and a few students submitted their assignments before leaving, I walked to the professor and handed my assignment.
"Ashley Gray, Right?"
"Yeah." I smiled.
"But your assignment has already been submitted."
"Really?"
"Yeah, your partner Carson submitted it this morning. You did work on it together, Right?" The professor asked suspiciously.
