Cara POV
Today was the day that whatever is gonna happen between me and Keanu happens.
I was so energized and excited I woke up 30 minutes early just to choose an outfit. After showering, doing some light makeup, and putting my hair into a cute style, I finally got to put on the outfit that I picked out.
It was a red cropped sweatshirt with a dark red and blue plaid mini skirt. I topped it off with a cute necklace and some stockings. It was simple, yet cute and I liked it.
I slung my backpack onto my back and went to get some breakfast.
"Oh! You look cute today!" My mom said as I came into the kitchen. "Today's the big day isn't it?" She wiggled her eyebrows at me.
"Yes, it certainly is. We still don't know what's going to happen. Something could go wrong. Just because it seems like I'm going to get a boyfriend today doesn't mean it's official yet."
"Oh stop being a pessimist and eat your french toast!"
I rolled my eyes at my mom and quickly finished my food so I could go pick up Lucy and Lani.
"Bye mom!" I yelled while I was walking out of the door.
"Au revoir bébé, passe une bonne journée!"

As soon as Lucía got in the car she started screaming, typical.
"MY BESTFRIEND'S GETTING A BOYFRIEND TODAY!"
She jumped on me, hugged me, then started doing a little dance in my car.
"You need to calm down oh my gosh."
"Stop laughing at me! You should be more excited than I am!"
"I am cool, calm, and collected Lucy." She gave me a look that said, 'I know you're lying.'
I rolled my eyes at her, "But on the inside I am freaking out. I refuse to show it until I actually acquire said boyfriend that everyone keeps insisting I'm going to get."
"If Kean doesn't ask you out today I will be personally jumping him along with a few other girls that I'm going to hire."
I laughed, "It's funny because there's no doubt in my mind that you will genuinely go through with that plan."
"Other bitches act crazy but I really am crazy... now let's listen to some Beyonce!"
By the time we got to Keanu and Kalani's house we were blasting 'If I were a Boy' by Beyonce.
As Lani climbed into the car Kean came out and smiled at me as we were driving away. "Okay fine, maybe you guys are right and I am getting a boyfriend today."
"IF I WERE A BOY! I THINK I COULD UNDERSTAND!" They were yelling the lyrics and were completely oblivious to me talking at all.
"Uhh... guys?" Lucía dramatically turned towards Kalani just as I said that.
"HOW IT FEELS TO LOVE A GIRL, I SWEAR I'D BE A BETTER MAN!"
Kalani then took the invisible mic and prepared for her part of the chorus. I started laughing at how ridiculous they both looking looked.
"I'D LISTEN TO HER! CAUSE I KNOW HOW IT HURTS, WHEN YOU LOSE THE ONE YOU WANTED CAUSE HE'S TAKING YOU FOR GRANTED."
They sang in unison for the last part. "AND EVERYTHING YOU HAVE GOT DESTROYED."
This part of the song was much quieter so they could actually hear me. "Guys..." I said between laughs.
"Yes chica?"
"Y'all are the best."
"Do you want to join in on the next part?"
"You know it."
I took the invisible mic with my hand that wasn't on the steering wheel and started belting out the song lyrics with my other two friends.
"IF I WERE A BOY..."

I know it's because I wanted time to go by faster but wow, the day couldn't have gone any slower. I felt like I was in 1st period for like 2 hours, it was awful. I've gotta remind someone to distract me when I'm looking forward to something that's happening after school.
But finally the moment I've been waiting for since the day I realized I liked Keanu. I was currently heading to building 6.
I was expecting to see Keanu standing there and waiting for me, but instead I found a note.
"Go to the yellow hallway."
In the yellow hallway I found a bouquet of flowers and another note.
"Now go to Keanu's locker
Note: It's locker 890 in the green hallway"
Taped to Keanu's locker was a giant bar of chocolate. Me being me I decided to open it before opening the next note.
"Now go to building 1, purple hallway.
Some motivation: I promise it's not a myth, if you follow these steps you will get a kiss.

I laughed at his little note, he's such a dork.
When I got to the purple hallway there was a little basket of goodies inside. I was stuffing my face with chocolate when I saw it so I wrapped up the chocolate bar and put it in the basket. Inside the basket was yet another note.
"Now turn around."
I whipped my head around and I finally saw him.
"Hey babygirl." As soon as he saw me he started laughing.
"What's so funny?"
"You just-" he had tears in his eyes and at this point I was starting to get self conscious.
"Uhm, are you okay?"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. You- you have chocolate on your nose. You look like the dark version of rudolph."
If I was lighter than I was, my face would've turned bright red just then, but I found myself laughing with him.
"Oh my god that's so embarrassing."
"No here," He walked over to the basket on the ground and pulled out a napkin. He was about to give me the napkin but hesitated for a second before decided against whatever it was he was going to do.
I quickly wiped my nose and crumpled up the tissue.
"This is not exactly how I wanted to start this off but... hi?"
I let out a soft giggle, "Hi Kean."
"Look I don't really know what Ace told you because he didn't tell me much. All he told me was that you'd give me a chance and I jumped on that opportunity. I just want you to know that if you still believe what you believed when we first talked I won't force you into anything I just-"
"No Kean. I haven't thought that since... well since I found out you were dating Echo. I kept telling myself that this was what was better for the both of us, but when I heard about you and Echo I realized that this hurt more than probably anything I could do to mess up the relationship."
"What about all that stuff about you not being able to handle me loving you?"
"I was more scared than anything. Love is a lot and I don't know exactly how to handle that much emotion but I think that's okay now. I'm... really sorry that I don't love you I just-"
"But you have feelings for me?"
"Feelings that are way too strong, yes."
"Then that's alright with me." I sighed, this was it.
"Also... I'm really sorry about the whole dating Echo thing. I texted her about what happened and she helped me a lot and then she kissed me when she was at my house and I didn't know what to do so I said yes when she asked me out. I didn't even like her like that and I'm pretty sure she realized because she broke up with me the second day of school. It was a mistake and I'm ashamed of it and..."
In the middle of listening to Kean rant about something that I had basically already forgiven him about I realized something else.
"...feel like I used her and-"
"Oh my god Kean!"
"What? What's happening?"
"This is the first time we've ever talked like... in person, face to face."
"That it is... did my rambling bore you?"
"Just a bit." I laughed.
"Well how about this? Caralily Greene will you be my girlfriend?" He got down on one knee and pulled out... well let's just say I wasn't expecting it.
