Electricity when my hand touched yours
Youth bursting at the seams
The tenderness of my heart pours
A huddled kiss in the darkness, my face beamsFinality, conquering the end of the game
How long could these feelings last
Distance and aging can douse or fan the flame
Youth burns out, so very fastPretending to be adults yet still novice in mind
A heart left defenseless, in full display
You left to better yourself and swore to be kind
You're betrayal sank fast leaving me in disarrayHad I seen the signs or known to look ahead
I would have known everything comes to pass
I often wonder could I of stifled the dread
Forgiveness seems to be a difficult task
