october 30th hawkins middle - hawkins lab
tilly was skating around the baseball dugout as she did daily when max came over to her. the boys stood under the dugout in awe, shocked that their best friend had the confidence to talk to the new girl.
"you skate?" max pointed to tilly's decorated board.
"yeah." tilly nodded, "isn't it obvious?"
"right." max scratched her head, "i like your board."
"thanks."
"did you decorate it yourself?" max continued.
"no." tilly sighed, "the boys did it while i was in the hospital."
"you were in the hospital?" max asked.
"yeah." tilly looked over and saw her friends watching them converse.
"what happened?" max quizzed.
"i was shot." tilly explained.
max burst out into a nervous laughter, thinking she was kidding. but when she saw the look on tilly's face, it settled.
"right." max nodded.
"good chat." tilly deadpanned before walking over to the boys.
"what happened?"
"what did you say?"
"was she cool?"
"why was she laughing so much?"
"she was laughing when i told her i was shot." tilly explained on the other side of the fence.
"oh."
"really?" will gasped.
"i knew she was a bitch." mike glared.
"maybe she was joking." slater suggested.
"shit, i've lost the target!" dustin groaned.
"target?" tilly scoffed.
"over there!" will pointed to the redhead going up the stairs.
she dropped a piece of paper in the bin and once she was out of sight, the boys ran over to it.
"are you guys serious?" tilly rolled her eyes as she trailed behind.
dustin scavenged the bin as the other four covered him with their body. four girls walked by and gave them a dirty look, the boys waved as tilly glared.
"yes?" tilly asked before the girls quickened their pace.
"you don't have to intimidate anyone that looks at us." lucas told her.
