It was a beautiful morning in Imladris. You woke up to a slight stream of sunlight hitting your face. Today was the day that you were going to eat dinner with your dear friend Arwen and her twin brothers, Elladan and Elrohir.

You were obviously very excited, as you secretly loved Arwen and Elladan and Elrohir are a joy to be around. Apparently, the twins had set up the dinner, but why?

Was this an attempt to get you and Arwen together? Or were they just wanting a dinner between them all as friends? Whatever the reason, you were still going to dinner with them.

Arwen was reading a book by a tree in the gardens. She looked peaceful. You noticed that before you let out a little "Arwen?" She looked up at you and smiled.

"Yes?" she asked.

"Are you excited about tonight's dinner?" you responded. "Because I am. I've never eaten dinner with you, Elladan, nor Elrohir."

"It's strange how they only set up a dinner with only us. Not even our father is joining us." You furrowed your eyebrows.

It could still only be a dinner where everyone talks as friends.

Soon, the twins had seen you and Arwen together and they approached you. "Ah, I see that the lovebirds are flirting..." Elrohir teased.

"We were not flirting." Arwen assured the twins. "We were only discussing the dinner."

Elladan and Elrohir looked at each other. "I'm very excited." you said.

"Because you get to be with Arwen..." Elladan joked. You rolled your eyes playfully. "Come on, you two love each other!"

"Arwen constantly talks about you." Elrohir claimed. Their sister blushed and hid her face in her book.

"You weren't supposed to say that!" she whispered. The two brothers snickered at her embarrassment.

"Arwen, you talk about me?" you asked sweetly. Elladan and Elrohir nodded.

"Trust us, she does." Elrohir began. "She talks about how she enjoys your company, and how she thinks your smile is cute..." This put a light blush on your cheeks.

Elrohir continued to tell you what Arwen says about you. They were all sweet compliments to you. Eventually, Arwen politely asked her brother to stop as she was getting quite embarrassed.

After that, the twins left and you and Arwen were left alone. "Finally... those two were getting out of hand." she sighed.

"They really were, but," you hesitated. "do you really say those things? About me?"

The elven lady widened her eyes. "Um... Er- I-I do..." she paused for a moment. You saw her look to the ground. "B-because..."

You nodded, waiting for her to complete her sentence. "I... I... I truly love you. I do." Arwen continued. "So, um, I want you to be my-"

Her sentence was interrupted by Elladan and Elrohir. They rushed towards you. "We thought that maybe you should-" Elladan said, until he paused for a moment and saw the annoyed looks on you and Arwen's faces. "Oh... were you two having a moment."

You nodded and the twins left, sort of giggling because they believed that you two were finally confessing love for each other.

After they seemed to be far enough to not hear the conversation, Arwen continued. "Well, I want you to be my lover..."

There was a wide smile on your face. "Oh, melamin, I love you, too! I will gladly be yours!" you exclaimed. "Will your brothers know of this?"

Arwen shrugged slightly. "Perhaps we can tell them some day." she answered.

You decided to sit down with Arwen and read with her. It was really comforting to read with her. And what's even better is that she had great taste in literature.

Around two hours later, Elladan and Elrohir returned to the gardens to tell you two that it was time to get to dinner.

"Ooh, what's going on here?" Elrohir teased. "Lovers at last?"

"N-no." you stammered.

"Very well then. It's time for dinner, so come on." Elladan motioned for you and Arwen to follow him and his brother.

Soon, they came to where the dinner was held, and all four of you took a seat. Food was already served.

Arwen gazed at you lovingly as she ate. The elf that you hoped to someday marry was sitting in front of you. And you could hardly believe it. Hopefully, the twin brothers would not notice the looks exchanged between you two.

Eventually, they did notice. "Why are you two looking at each other like that?" Elrohir asked. "It's as if you're flirting... but with your eyes."

Elladan nodded at his brother's question. "Are you sure that you aren't in love?"

There was a moment of silence between everyone. Arwen nodded. "Yes. I'm sure. We're sure." she lied.

You pursed your lips. It seemed wrong to lie to them. But you didn't want them to affect your relationship with Arwen negatively.

But maybe they would be supportive and let you be.

Looking down, you thought about whether or not you should keep your relationship a secret. Elladan and Elrohir would be so happy... and they may be very nosy.

Finally, you made a decision. "Elladan, Elrohir..." you said. The twins looked your way. "I love Arwen. And she loves me." Arwen stared at you with a surprised look on her face.

"Really?" the twins asked, simultaneously.

"Really." Arwen confirmed. Elladan and Elrohir cheered happily. After they celebrated, everyone finished their dinner and went home.

The next day, you woke up to Arwen at your door. You kissed her on the cheek and greeted her.

"Hello, melamin. Since my brothers know about our love, I told my father." Arwen said. "And he is very happy for me. For us. He hopes that we get married and wished good luck in our relationship."

You smiled, glad that Lord Elrond himself was happy. "That's good. I cannot wait to be married to you."

"And I can't wait to be married to you."

The two of you decided to go to the gardens and dance together until the evening. As you watched Arwen dance, you realized that you are ever so grateful that you were with her.
