My hands tapped against the granite countertop, as my father and uncle stood on the other side. It wasn't often that I was brought up to the penthouse for breakfast. That was something private Dad and I did, so I was more confused when Jarvis awoke me and directed me to the top floor.

The two looked much more serious about the situation than me. Breaking the tension I smacked my lips apart and leaned forward, "So...?"

Tony glanced at my father and he gave a stiff nod, allowing Tony to speak, "We were able to finally compromise with the senate."

"Yes!" I jumped up from my seat, throwing my hands in the air.

It had been a little over a month since my accident at the showcase, causing the world to go into a frenzy. People were obviously scared, while others were excited about my terrifying development.

I swear to God, I don't know how much money my family had to put in the swear jar when I came to.

It was more of a blur than anything. One second I was singing my heart out, and then next I was able to create a portal the size of a softball.

The government was more concerned about control over this strange thing I was able to do. At this point, the most unusual have become sane meaning they were more concerned about the control then how I got this power.

Dad put me under house arrest until he could figure some compromise with the government. Something to prove I wasn't a threat. Not that the Senate would step in and send me to some lab, knowing the backlash of the public and the fury of my family, but I think it was just to keep the peace.

It honestly didn't bother me. Even if I tried to go outside I'd be met with a flood of civilians trying to get more answers about this power I couldn't control.

I haven't made a portal since the showcase anyways.

Dad snapped his fighters and pointed at me to sit down again, "This is a serious conversation, Diana. You need to listen."

My face went a little red at his tone. I wasn't used to it being directed towards me. So I meekly nodded and sat back down, "You're lucky Natasha released all of those files, kid." Tony took a seat. "Just like I told Fury, the labour department was in flames after reading your daily reports."

I raised a brow, "Really?"

He nodded, "You're still a kid but were being treated like a freaking racehorse."

"I thought the training I was receiving was standard," I shrugged.

"Yeah, no. No it was not," Tony hummed. "Too much a day for the armed forces, let alone a child under ten."
