Something's.......

Here......

Something's spying at us.....

I thought as everyone was getting out of the hole.

I looked around the trees but I stopped as I heard another noise in the forest.

What is it.....

I ran to the direction of the noise in between the trees as my siblings called out to me.

I ran in between the trees to see.....

Nothing

Nothing......

Was it just my imagination?

Everyone's out of the hole now...

But

What was that I heard?

I kept my guard up as my siblings chatted with each other.

"I see.... these roots don't do well with the cold!"

"So that's why they stopped moving...."

"It is pretty cold up here!"

"Yeah...it's even colder than the area we were in where we first fell in"

"Why is the temperature so different even though we're in the same forest?"

"Who knows...."

"Maybe it's because the sunlight gets blocked by the trees here."

"...Still, it's really friggin' cold!"

"So...." I heard Gilda try and talk to me.

"As long as it stays this cold, does it mean that we won't have to be afraid of being attacked by those roots again?" She asked.

"Probably." I replied.

"Damn!"

"Thank goodness it's winter right now! Or else we would be in big trouble!" Don exclaimed.

"Well....." Nat started.

"According to this, it seems like the ground doesn't cave in in the first place it's winter." Said Nat as he pointed to the words in the book that he was reading. The book that saved our lives.

"It says that 'The Alvar Pinera is a legendary cave one can only enter during the winter season' in this book" He said as Don took the book from his hands and read it.

"If only it wasn't winter, huh?" Said Gilda.

"But thanks to what just happened, now I know" I butted in the conversation as Don, Gilda and Nat turned to me.
