animal impulses,
aizawa shōta.

the first sighting of the creature was when it was trashing a small convenience store. it was unknown and bigger than any average human. a shaky phone video of the monster claiming the news just hours later, suspicions and unsure explanations coming forward. it didn't take long before a high bounty was on the market, either, which had heroes and villains alike searching it down.

aizawa doesn't care much, no matter how odd the situation. he was convinced it was just an unidentified and uncontrolled quirk, and he's seen plenty in his line of hero work. and even then he honestly didn't believe it, no matter the viral videos of a feathered beast on the rampage during nightfall. but it starts to affect his life more than he's comfortable with, becoming the talk of UA high in record time. quick glimpses of conversation from students and even gossip from fellow teachers has him annoyed, if not a bit overwhelmed.

but it's not when he's on another hero patrol is when he starts to believe, especially when the said beast almost tears him apart.

quirklessness used to not be so judged or looked down upon, but even then it was unnatural in these changing times, and after few years it was considered a flaw that one may have. now the label "quirkless" is nothing but an unfortunate weight that one would have to live with, being taunted and shamed with.

sasha was content at first when he discovered he was quirkless. he didn't want to be a hero nor a villain, he was just fine if he would grow to be a librarian or a cook or something of the sorts. his parents had grown up without abilities and they had survived, though despite his optimism, the world did not share his view. that's when he started coming home with more scrapes and bruises on his skin. but he lived with it, not complaining or indicating he was rotting inside, until he broke; until he started to believe that life without a quirk wasn't a life worth living.

so he searched for a cure.

"some blood," is what the magic man said to sasha, "and you will get your quirk." a knife to the palm of his hand and a cut deep enough to not need stitches, the man was satisfied, and suddenly sasha was not who he remembered to be.

i like to get bloody and gory when necessary, so expect some semi-detailed stuff about that. main character has depression. mild age gap (all above 18). heavy lying. swearing/profanity. murder.

i do not own the BNHA universe or its characters. i live in the u.s. so this is pretty much going to be from my perspective, meaning shops that are from my area will be present that may not be in japan.
