Third POV

Tauriel was running over rocks and stepping over pools of deer blood when she heard the creak of a bow.

She turned with her bow drawn. "I thought you were an orc," She said.

"If I were an orc, you would be dead." Legolas said as they both lowered their bows, he continued. "Tauriel, you cannot hunt 30 orcs on your own."

"But I'm not on my own," She responded.

"You knew I would come," Legolas stated. "The king is angry Tauriel. For over 600 years my father has protected you, favored you. You defied his orders. You betrayed his trust." Tauriel frowned and Legolas continued in elvish, "Come back with me, he will forgive you."

"But I will not. If I go back, I will not forgive myself." Tauriel replied. "The king has never let orc filth roam our lands. Yet he would let this orc pack cross our boarders and kill our prisoners."

"It is not our fight," Legolas reasoned.

"It is our fight." Tauriel said. "It will not end here. Did you hear what that filth said? He said that Miranda was hit with a poisoned arrow. With every victory, this evil will grow. If your father has his way, we will do nothing. We will hide within our walls, live our lives away from the light, and let darkness descend." Legolas's eyes were wide, and he thought about Miranda dying. "Are we not part of this world? Tell me, mellon. When did we let evil become stronger than us?"

As night fell, Bard ran to meet with the stall-keeper.

"'Allo Bard. What you after?" The old man asked.

"There was a tapestry!" Bard said out of breath. "An old one! Where's it gone?"

"What tapestry you talking about?" The man questioned.

"This one," Bard replied, pulling out a tapestry of blue and gold. There he read the name, Thorin. Worry filled Bard's eyes as he looked towards the Lonely Mountain, he remembered the prophecy.

The lord of silver fountains,

The king of carven stone.

The king beneath the mountain,

Shall come into his own.

And the bells shall ring in gladness

At the mountain king's return.

But all shall fail in sadness,

And the lake will shine and burn.

With that thought in his mind, Bard ran home.
