38:Distracted Love

Diem's POV

I woke up in Dalen's room but I don't remember getting there. I remember Miles, my dad, burying him, and telling the guys my life pain.

But I don't remember getting here.

I sit up and my head starts to hurt. I've never cried that much let alone that hard. I slowly get out of bed and head to the bathroom. Walking in, I notice a tray of products on it. Just like the one I have in my bathroom at home. Going over I notice it is the one from my bathroom. Looking around the bathroom some more, I notice that my shampoo, body wash, lotion and even my period products are all here

"What?"I question out loud. I do my business and wash my hands before stepping out to the bedroom. Looking by the bed, I notice the two stuffed animals Dalen gave me, the teddy bear and the panda.  I also notice my clothes in some of his drawers as well as in his closet"What is happening"

"Morning"Looking to the door way, that still has a broken door, is Dalen"Or should I say afternoon since it's almost 4"

I widen my eyes "4? How long did I sleep for"

"A month"My eyes widen even more. How is that even possible. Dalen started to chuckle as he walked into the room and sat down on the bed in front of me"I'm kidding"Grabbing my waist, he pulls me down to straddle his waist"It's only been a couple of hours"He rubbed light circles on my waist with his thumbs

Lightly combing the back of his head,I look down at him"What's a couple of hours?"

"Like a good 20"I nod my head and continue to comb his head as he rubs my waist"The boys and I brought over your stuff. We figured you might not want to go back because of what happened" I didn't say anything.

This was nice. Just sitting here, with him. It was the peacefulness I needed right now. After a few more minutes of just sitting in silence, my headache comes back"Do you have any painkillers?"

Dalen looked at me a bit hesitate before picking my up and walking us to the bathroom. He sets me down on the counter before opening the medicine cabinet. He opens the bottle and hands me two pills. He rinsed out an old bottle before filling it up with water and handing it to me

"Headache?"

"Yeah" I take each pill one at a time before wrapping my arms around Dalen neck and placing my head in the crook of his neck

"What do you want to do today?"

"At home date?"

"Sure"He goes to pick my up but I stop him"What's wrong"

"Can we just stay like this for a while longer"I hug him closer to me. I feel him wrap his arms me before he too hugs me tight

"Of course"

Dalen's POV

Diem's idea of an at home date is to lay in bed in silence until we fall asleep. It's not that I wouldn't mind it, it's just that I want to distract her from what happened yesterday. So when I suggested that we should bake something, she jumped at the opportunity

"what about this one"Diem points to a recipe for a classic vanilla cake. Should be easy

"Sure, what's needed"After looking over the ingredients and seeing what we had to the house, which was only milk and eggs, we headed out to the store

"Stay close to me please"Wrapping my arm around her waist, I pull her closer to me after she gets out of the car. Miles is still out there and "has spies" on Diem. We are having some of our men investigating to see who these spies are and if Miles really is watching Diem.
