One month before the third track and two weeks after Lina passed her Apparition test, Cedric was called out of the common room to find out exactly what the third task would entail.

Cedric was only gone half-hour but returned looking less than happy.

"That bad?" Danny asked as Cedric sat at their little table ignoring the rest of the Hufflepuff students who were watching the champion.

"They've destroyed the Quidditch pitch!" Cedric exclaimed.

"They've what!" Lina yelled, students closest to the group who were staring jumped away in fright.

"Oh grow up" Lucy sneered at them.

"What have they done to the Quidditch pitch?" Lina asked.

"The third task is a maze" Cedric answered "they're growing these twenty-foot high hedges to make the maze up. You know it's bad enough I can't play Quidditch in my last year and then they go and do this" Cedric shuddered thinking about the ruined Quidditch pitch.

"Surely they're going to get rid of the maze once the task is over though, right?" Lucy asked.

"That's beside the point," Cedric said.

"Doesn't matter" Lina said grumpily at the same time.

Danny and Lucy looked at each other and rolled their eyes "what else did they say?" Lucy asked.

"Or were you to busy mourning the loss of the Quidditch field that will get restored" Danny added.

It was Cedric's turn to roll his eyes "no I heard" he said, "the Triwizard Cup will be placed in the centre of the maze and the first person to touch it will receive full marks."

"That's it?" Lucy asked sounding slightly disappointed "dragons and mermaids and then a maze. Bit anti-climatic."

"There's going to be obstacles, Hagrid's providing creatures and Bagman said that spells will need to be broken etc. So it's not as simple as doing a sprint through a maze."

"What order is it going to be in?" Lina asked.

"Harry and I get to go first since we have the most points, them Krum, then Fleur. But Bagman said anyone could win depending on how we deal with the obstacles so" Cedric shrugged.

"Jesus one month and then all this will be over," Danny said.

"I can't wait" Lina sighed and leaned back in her chair.

The next day at breakfast, before Lina's bum could even touch the bench, she was grabbed by both her arms and dragged over to the Gryffindor table. Lina looked back and send her friends an apologetic smile. Lina them looked back at her kidnappers who were sitting in front of her and glared at them, they went to speak but Lina held up her hand and poured herself a goblet full of pumpkin juice. She took a drink and the spoke: "I only woke up an hour ago, what is so important?"
