Zoro x Reader (part-1)

I'm not sure where I'm going with this one shot, sooooo if it's bad, I apologise T-T
I try my bestttttttt! I sort of just write what comes to mind as I type 🥺 I'm bad at thinking of ideas and planning them out.

Being apart of the straw hat pirates sure was a wild ride. Adventure, one after the other. Sure you've all found yourselves in life or death situations, but with the help of each other, you've all always managed to survive.

For the first time in a while there's peace upon the ship. No marines chasing you, no danger. And everyone was taking the opportunity to do whatever they wanted. For Nami and Robin that meant laying in their sun chairs and relaxing for the day. Sanji was busy as usual cooking up a huge lunch for everyone. Usopp repairing parts of the ship that had gotten a bit damaged. Chopper working on making some more rumble balls, Luffy enjoying the sun upon the head of the going merry. And the handsome swordsman asleep underneath the bright sun at the bottom of the stairs.

And as for you, you've been sat underneath Namis tangerine trees for the past hour. Everyone doing their own thing, it was a rare day that it was quiet amongst everyone. You knew it wouldn't stay this way for long, Luffy would eventually get bored and ask you or Usopp to play. You were one of the only ones who got on with everyone in the crew, you were childish at times just like Luffy, Usopp and Chopper, but also mature when needed. So you were able to see everyone's side of things.

"AHHHHH! I'm bored!"
There goes Luffy ready to burn off some energy. Didn't take too long before he got sick of it being too quiet. He definitely made things lively around here, so you didn't mind at all.
He spots you from where he's sitting, a grin forming on his lips. Uh oh.
"Y/NNNNNNNN! LETS PLAYYY!" Your captain screams across the entire ship, just as you thought. Couldn't he just walk over to you. You giggle though, ready to have some fun you jump up off the ground.

You go to run down the stairs of the merry, but being the clumsiest one onboard, you trip over your own feet with a squeak. Closing your eyes you prepare to hit the deck.

Instead of hard wood you feel two strong arms holding you. Opening your eyes, you're met with a sleepy looking swordsman. You blush at your own clumsiness and give him a cute smile.
"Careful there clumsy" he says with a husky voice from just waking up.
"My bad Zoro" you giggle as he lets you out of his grip. Ignoring the butterflies in your stomach you continue running towards the straw hat man who's laughing from the whole thing.

"That was great Y/N! You trip over everything" he laughs loudly, causing you to smack his shoulder in reply. It doesn't bother you though, Luffy does ask if you're okay if he thinks you've actually been hurt.

"It's not my fault! Stairs are scary" you whine playfully, giggling as usual.
You're quite close to everyone of your crew members, even Zoro which shocks the rest of the crew. The green haired man usually just keeping to himself. Though you'd say you're closest with a certain blue nosed reindeer.
As soon as you met Chopper you thought he was the cutest little reindeer you've ever seen, and the fact he could talk made you as happy as a little kid on Christmas morning.

"Y/N!" You hear your name being called, along with the sound of familiar squeaking footsteps. Turning around with a huge smile you catch Chopper in your arms. The fluffy reindeer giving you a big hug. Nami and Robin always say you seem like a mother to Chopper, which they thought was great since he was no longer on Drum Island with Doctorine.

You also knew that deep down Zoro had a soft spot for the little reindeer. He acted all tough but he would always let Chopper hang around him and you even caught Zoro cuddling him a few times. Though he would deny it if you ever said anything.

Something you'd never admit was that you wanted to be closer to the grumpy swordsman. You've never had a crush before you met Zoro, so not knowing how to deal with your feelings, any time you get butterflies or start to blush around the man, you end up running off. Afraid to fall for him, you avoid being alone with him. Though you were sure that's no issue for him since he likes to be alone, everyone knew that. Zoro seemed to not need anybody, when you think about it too long it sometimes made you sad.
