I woke up in a room with white walls, on a bed that felt familiar. "How are you feeling sweetheart." Jacqueline asked me.
"Um, my head feels really heavy.. What happened?" I tried to ask with a throbbing head.
"You fainted in the waiting room earlier." My mother-in-law replied.
"What was I doing in th- Wait, where's Ryder? Is he okay? Can I go see him?" I question, after remembering what the heck was I doing in the hospital.
"Sweetie, I think you should stay here. The doctor discovered some things about you while you were out." She said, trying to calm me down.
"What? What is it? What's wrong with me?" I panicked.
"Violet, you're 3 weeks pregnant. Congratulations!" Rebecca said cheerfully.
I can't help but cry at the thought. I could feel my tears threatening to fall out of my eyes.
"What's wrong? We thought you'd be happy?" Ray asked concerned that she might be upset with the news.
"R-Ryder doesn't know. He's not here. Oh no- What am I gonna do? I can't do this alone." I cried into my hands.
Everyone in the room ; Ray, Jacqueline, Ryan, Rebecca, MJ, Joy & Julia went to comfort her.
"You won't go through this alone Vie, you have us. I'm sure Ryder will wake up soon after he hears the news." Joy says to me, trying to make the situation better.
"We're all here for you Vie, don't be too sad." MJ tried.
I wiped my tears away, and sniffle. "Is he out of surgery?" I asked, wanting to know my husband's condition.
"Not yet, why don't you rest so more. The doctor said you fainted because of stress. We'll wake you up when we hear from the doctor. Alright?" Ray encourage me.
Feeling my eye lids heavy. I nod my head and lay down, trying to get some sleep knowing I'm pregnant and my husband's not here with me.
Soon enough, I feel the dark consume me into deep slumber.
