Archer's PoV~

It was late at night and I couldn't sleep. Alexander was restless so I decided to spend this time looking over the hunts for the next couple of days.

Alpha Darren wants me to lead another hunt with his pack in a few days as if there weren't other Alphas and Lunas that needed me to travel to their packs.

I clenched the cloth in my fist before bringing it up to my nose. Taking in a big whiff calmed my nerves instantly.

After looking over my schedule for the next week, I heard a knock on my office door. I knew, by the scent, it was my Delta Litton.

"Come in."

Litton popped his head in with a confused look on his face.

"Luna Bella and Alpha Joel are here to see you. They said it was urgent."

I immediately stood up, thinking the worse. Bella hardly ever comes over unannounced and the distance between our packs isn't close enough for her to just swing by whenever she pleases.

I walked out of my office and to the foyer. Bella and Joel were standing there but once Bella saw me, she jogged towards me with a huge smile.

She opened her mouth for a second before Joel cut her off by clearing his throat. He sent her a pointed look and she turned back to me.

"Can we discuss this in your office?" She asked softly while glancing around at my pack members that were scattered around my manor.

"Of course," I answered swiftly. We walked back to my office, my heart pumping. Her mood and this unpredictable visit is making me nervous.

"I met her! Your mate! She came into our pack and-" She spoke the moment the door of my office closed.

My mind had a hard time registering her words but once they did, I felt a spark of hope grow in my heart.

But then my eyes snapped to Joel's hand. It was wrapped in bondage. Wolves heal extremely fast, so I knew whatever happened to his hand, happened recently.

"She attacked you?"

Joel looked ashamed.

"I acted out of impulse and charged at her. I'm sorry," He apologized. I could tell he was really upset about nearly hurting his future queen. Weirdly, I understand.

He was with his mate and saw a rogue that could've been a threat to her.

"What happened- Is she okay?" I asked. There were so many questions I had; I had a hard time even creating a sentence.

Bella smiled.

"She didn't look hurt at all. But, Archer, she's absolutely gorgeous! I can't even describe to you have beautiful she is. And-"

Joel cut her off, again, by placing his hands on his shoulders.

"Baby, calm down, and tell him what happened."

She visibly calmed down and take some deep breaths before sitting down on one of my chairs.

"Archer, Joel, and I were hanging out near the edge of the territory when she came into the pack boundaries to take our food. After Joel tried to get me, she sparked him with her fingers- Oh My Goddess. Archer, you should have seen it. It was so cool." She rambled quickly.

I turned to Joel, to have him finish the story, knowing Bella was getting excited again.

"When she turned to run away, Bella offered her the jacket we had. She hesitantly took it and Bella told her that she'll give her more supplies if she comes back in three days. She apologized then ran." He explained.
